Happy hour and breakfast was nice. Hotel is clean and huge but could probably use decor updates. My shower clogged but I lived with it. Temperature in the room was hard to adjust and didn’t seem to cool down enough. Overall, nice area and lots of food choices. Staff was attentive and great.

Way too expensive for a crappy room in an abandoned mall. Probably wont stay at ES ever again just because the price really doesnt match what you get. Felt like a Motel 6.

The hotel is big and beautiful but I had to sleep on the sofa bed and believe me I felt the springs on my back for two days, the pool and jacuzzi are very relaxing, for breakfast you have to get up early because you will have a 45 minute line after 9am, on the second day I got up early at 7am and it was easier, another thing is that I am waiting for my deposit to be returned for almost 2 weeks and so far nothing.

Hands down, the best in the area. Close enough to all the attractions, far enough away from the ghettos that you don't feel in fear of losing all your possessions or vehicle. The staff was amazing- we had a Karen come in and start complaining about people throwing away their food. They politely listened and made the Karen feel her view had merit, insulating the rest of the customers from this toxic manager seeking wierdo.

Where to start? This hotel seems very far from the pictures. First strike was that we arrived an hour and a half after checkin and they still didnt have our room ready and we had to wait an addition 40 minutes to get a room. When we get upstairs the rooms are facing the mall the hotel seems to be in and the living room of our room has a huge window that faces out to a hallway where everyone pasaing can see into our room. Who would design anything like that. Outside of the other rooms were dirty plates on the floor. The cushions in common areas were ripped and worn to the point of being cracked. Breakfast was extremely crowded and not worth the hassle even if it’s free. No free wifi in the room. Im only giving two stars for facilities because my other relatives enjoyed the pool and the jacuzzi, but other than that avoid this place! Stay in a hotel closer to the white house or other tourist attractions.

Only issue we had was at the pool/hot tub. It was overrun by unattended 'tweens' that were actively aggressive with all adults present, argumentative, and cursing when asked to settled down. They were soaking the ceiling and trying to scoop all water from the pool onto the pool deck, which was already very slippery from being finished in a smooth tile surface inappropriate for a pool surround. The security for the hotel was requested by 4 separate adults and when they did show, they were essentially useless, resulting in about 20-25 adults/families just leaving the pool area entirely, leaving it for the unruly and disruptive group of unaccompanied minors. I read other reviews stating the pool is unmonitored and perhaps assigning a security person to at least rove the area once an hour would be a small step to ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all paying guests.

The staff at the front desk was very kind, but the hotel was understaffed. There was always a line at the front desk, there were never towels at the pool, and we had to wait several hours after check-in time for our room to be ready. They did compensate us with a late check-out for our inconvenience, but they really need more staff!

Our stay was a mixed bag of experiences. While the room was adequately cleaned, it was evident that the furnishings and decor were showing signs of age. One major inconvenience was the unexpected charges for parking and bringing a small dog. Despite not being informed of these fees at the time of booking, we were hit with a $100 charge for the dog for just two days, which was quite steep. Additionally, the lack of complimentary parking added to the overall expense of our stay. Furthermore, interactions with some staff members left much to be desired, as not everyone seemed welcoming or accommodating. Overall, while the cleanliness of the room met expectations, the hidden fees, aging facilities, and inconsistent customer service detracted from the overall experience.

There was an issue in regards to accessing expedia pre-paid bookings when we checked in, however the staff resolved it quickly and efficiently. The place also offers 2 drink vouchers which can be used at a specified time as well as breakfast. There are a lot of shops and restuarants nearby, that are of walking distance if you wish to purchase food. I reccommend visiting the food hall nearby as they serve a variety of cuisines. If you wish to shop, there are a few shops available around the perimeter as well. Parking is also convient, but be sure to validate your ticket. But, overall service, rooms, and amenities were great for the price. Please note, this place is about 30 minutes away from DC 😉. But, I did notice that there were buses around the area.

The rooms were big and the breakfast was good. There wasn't anywhere close to eat except for the cheesecake factory. It was not close to downtown. Don't be fooled by the 8 miles it says from capitol hill-it is actually 30 minutes no matter which way you go. You also have to get on 2 different elevators to get out front of the building. Furniture in rooms need to be cleaned.
