Elegant townhome on quiet street near museums, restaurants, shops, parks & more!
Located in the East Village, which is the section of Georgetown closest to downtown, the mall, and the Capitol. Public transportation is nearby (two blocks to 30th and Q for the city bus; four blocks at Wisconsin and S for the Circulator). Quick Uber, Lyft and taxi pickups. The buses within 2 blocks will take you right to Dupont Circle within 10 minutes.
It is a beautiful home on a quiet street near Montrose Park and Dumbarton Oaks. It is just several blocks from the center of Georgetown but it feels like a neighborhood! You can easily walk to numerous great restaurants and other iconic Georgetown shopping! Several grocery stores and pharmacies are also in walking distance. Georgetown has its own share of museums to, such as Tudor Place, the Old Stone House, Dumbarton House and Dumbarton Oaks museum, all within walking distance!
My home is clean and comfortable and convenient. It is beautifully decorated, and has central air and heat. There is wonderful light throughout the house including a sunroom/antique greenhouse on the main level. An alley entrance in the back off of Avon makes it easy to bring in luggage and groceries to the main level. The main bathroom has a clawfoot tub for great soaking or a shower if you prefer. Other amenities are described in the notes.
You will really enjoy that my home is within one block of spectacular parks, (Montrose Park, Rock Creek Park). Great for hiking and picnicking. It is also a block to Dumbarton Oaks museum and grounds and Tudor Place museum and grounds. Other historic sites such as Oak Hill Cemetery are a street away. You could spend your whole visit just walking through the streets looking at beautiful 18th to early 20th century homes and gardens!
Parking available!
Enjoy your stay!!! Warm regards, Cherie

Such an adorable place with the friendliest, communicative, helpful host! Feels like home. Great, quaint Georgetown location- however, parking can be difficult. It’s been a while since I’ve been in DC proper so I had forgotten about that little hurdle! That being said, I’d 100% stay there again- the best host! Thank you, Cherie!
Beautiful quiet area in Georgetown. House had great character but was also a nice respite from touring around DC. Property well maintained and clean. Thank you! We would stay again if ever in DC/Georgetown.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Quiet upscale neighborhood in the heart of Georgetown. Host was wonderful to deal with. Spacious with nice garden in back. Would definitely stay there again.
Amazing home in a historic neighborhood. Wonderful restaurants within walking distance. We felt safe exploring our Georgetown neighborhood. Would definitely stay there again!
Lovely home in a great neighborhood. Easy walking distance to restaurants, attractions. We walked everywhere but it would have been easy to get Uber/Lyft. Cherie was very easy to communicate with, promptly responded to questions.
A wonderful week in Georgetown and DC. Cherie’s home and attention to detail made our week absolutely perfect
The location made it easy to walk to restaurants, shopping, sightseeing and parks. Located on a quiet street and surrounded by beautiful architecture and landscape this home is top rate inside and out
Great attention to detail and
Comfort for the guests is obvious and there are many indoor and outdoor spaces to relax and enjoy the views. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely return.
It was everything my wife, daughter, son and I were looking for when we were in DC visiting. The home, street and city were all beautiful and we felt fortunate to stay In this home. Thank you, Cherie!
Cherie is a wonderful host! The house is in a great location. Easy walk into Georgetown. Parking can be tight but no issues parking by Tudor Place nearby. Will definitley return.
Absolutely loved our stay. Two friends and I were in town for the Marine Corps Marathon. The space was fantastic. So comfortable, we each had our own bedroom, and there was a full bathroom upstairs by the bedrooms and a 1/2 bath on the main floor. There was plenty of space, a nice backyard and even a windowed sitting room before you get outdoors. Neighborhood was conveniently located and yet very quiet. Loved it, and would stay here again.
The home is lovingly maintained and beautifully decorated with attention to detail for the comfort of the guests. The home is clean and has everything one needs for a comfortable and relaxing stay. It has lovely indoor and outdoor space. The location is perfect within walking distance to restaurants and shops in Georgetown. Communication with check in and check out - responsive and easy. Highly recommend this treasure!
This charming house is everything. Close to buses and trains and totally walkable to a deli, grocers, liquor store and all that the main hub had to offer. We loved our stay and in record heat we could keep the house cool. The area is beautiful and quiet and we walked the streets home in the evenings feeling totally safe. Shower has good pressure, tub style with a great curtain arrangement, kitchen had everything we needed, beds towels and linen were all pristine and comfy. It was too hot for us to use but the outdoor space and conservatory is a real plus.
This property is just as advertised. We were concerned about only one bathroom, but because it is a hall bath, and not in the master bedroom it worked out well for us.
We took away one star because we were forced to buy completely overpriced insurance. But we would stay here again!
We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay in Georgetown. The house was perfect for us. Very comfortable and a great location. We loved walking to the main shops and restaurants as well as to Dumbarton Gardens. Very quiet at night and such a beautiful neighborhood. A few comments: A binder with instructions for how to use all the appliances/ tv and fireplace would be useful.
Construction on the house in the back starts early on weekdays. Hopefully they will be done soon!
Cherie was a great host. loved the house! so much character! the living space is great with a beautiful sunroom, comfortable furniture in both the living rooms and the sunroom! kitchen is small but has everything you need! the bedrooms were perfect with super comfy beds and linens. The neighborhood is gorgeous and soo convenient to shopping, restaurants and the riverwalk along the Potomac! very walkable - never left our parking spot which is provided by Cherie's permit.
we are planning our next stay in the October!!!
Do not hesitate to book!
Charming home in beautiful Georgetown neighborhood
What a warm, charming home right in the heart of Georgetown! The house was very clean and spacious and there were lots of areas to sit and relax. The solarium was a nice addition to the house and found we sat in there often. We loved it!
Cherie is very accommodating and we could easily check in with her when need be. She is very friendly and wants you to have the best stay. We walked to everything we went to and there are great shops, coffee places and restaurants within a ten minute walk. A beautiful park is just up the block and a neighborhood shop is only a couple of blocks away where you can buy wine and snacks miscellaneous items. This house is truly a charming place to stay, and would highly recommend it. We will be coming!
This property is charming, quiet, in a great location, and was the perfect place for a family gathering. The host was very helpful and responsive. Would definitely stay again!
