Clean, staff very nice. Elevator small, room well worn with signs of wear and tear everywhere (window would not close, wallpaper peeling in bathroom, furniture scratched), poor water pressure on 8th floor, poor lighting in room. Overall average at best, certainly not worth the price that is charged but unfortunately typical for D.C. area.
Very noisy, room was clean and breakfast was good. Close to every where.

We got in late so we didn't have the room I had reservations for. They had overbooked. So 3 people had a double bed and a pull out chair for night 1. The staff was very apologetic. But the first night was a nightmare. I don't know whyi and I thought they would make it up the second night with a better room but we just got a room when the room next to us was so close, every time they would open and shut the door, my husband would jump up thinking some one was trying to come in our room.
I guess my suggestion would be to make sure you check in early.
Very old and tired property. The rooms look like they have not been remodeled since early 90s. The photos on the website are very deceiving. Outrageous for what they charge as well. My room was $400 tax.
The only good thing going for it is friendly and helpful staff. Would not stay here again.
Bedbugs! I have horrible itchy bites appearing starting the evening after my stay :( The room was so worn down, with dirty curtains and dark brown carpet so you couldn’t tell whether it’s clean. The bathroom was tiny and looked clean enough, but there was a stench of body odor / rot emanating from the sink. Location is quiet but far from convention center. Staff was nice. I would not have stayed once I saw the room, but the whole area was sold out.

The Comfort Inn Downtown DC has terribly small, dirty rooms. Continental breakfast was fine, but there's a strong natural gas smell on the bottom floor that will make you dizzy. I slept with the lights on because I was afraid of bugs. Room was noticeably dirty. We checked out early.
I understand that the physical building is old, and yes, the aesthetics can get some modern updates. However, the hotel was more than enough for what we needed: a place for the night to rest. Hot water for the shower/bath is always appreciated, the breakfast is simple, but more than enough, the staff was friendly and more than willing to help (this by observing interactions with other guests). The restaurants in the area were amazing as well. You just need to know where to go.
Staff were friendly and nice. Property is outdated and not nice. Stairs in front are awkward. Room was outdated and drawers were stained
It was much too expensive for what it was.

For the price to stay it’s not worth it. This is an extremely old hotel that needs serious remodeling. There were holes on the walls, ripped wall paper, rusted door hinges, and more…I took pictures! Highly unlikely that we would stay here again.

It took 3 hours to get checked in, absolutely work check wait time to check in ever. My front desk associate that checked us in was so sweet and understanding regardless of the long wait times and all of us upset customers.

No parking at the INN, parking is outside of property. 8min walk from inn.
The hotels staff make this hotel. There is nothing much else to say about it. It was very small. Note that the parking is 3 blocks away and you will need to walk mostly everywhere as they will charge you every time you take your car out. They should advertise that their parking is not on site. Again the staff made the stay. They were all fantastic
We enjoyed our one night stay, we were able to walk to many restaurants near by. Parking was also very easy and cheap at a very nice parking garage close by. And we loved the continental breakfast!
