"The only issue I have is that the property asks you to write down your credit / debit card details on the registration card - it's ok to put it straight onto the PMS, but writing it down on a piece of paper goes against every single insurance policy the banks have. I've said this to them last year February - one-and-half years later, they still do it. This has stopped at hotels now over a decade ago. Get on with the times, it's time for an update."

"We had an absolutely wonderful weekend at Plume Villas in Matakana. From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The villa was beautiful, comfortable, clean and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The location is fantastic — peaceful and private, while still being close to everything Matakana has to offer. We especially loved the beautiful surroundings and the relaxed atmosphere. It was the perfect place to switch off, unwind and enjoy some quality time together. The whole experience exceeded our expectations, and we would happily stay here again. Thank you to the team at Plume Villas for such a fantastic stay. Highly recommended!"

"Perfect place for a romantic winter getaway. Stunning grounds, great room with lovely views, the lodge was cozy and the food was great - the breakfast in particular was amazing. Dinner was expensive but it didn’t disappoint and convenient onsite. No TV in the room but no need with the cozy fireplace. Bed was comfortable with nice linen. Mini fridge, good tea and coffee making facilities. Spa bath wasn’t working unfortunately but enjoyed the sauna. Would 100% recommend this place for a couple. Would also be a great place for a small conference, executive meeting or retreat."

"Beautifully tranquil setting, excellently equipped quintessentially Kiwi Bach making it all the more comfortable. Absolutely great to have outdoor seating areas and the kayaks. Communication with the host was easy and quick. Hope to be able to return and would recommend it to families, young travellers, couples, anyone and everyone!"

"A hidden gem. We are hoping to make this our annual couple's retreat. Great location, gorgeous room and we would happily have sat out the back watching the waterfall over a drink forever. The only drawback, and it feels like a big one, is that we have to go back to our normal life now."
