Lovely cosy and welcoming

Room was very comfortable and clean. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast menu was very good and plentiful. It would be nice to have a few cereals on offer though. Bar was very welcoming as were the staff. Would definitely recommend this place to stay.

Great location.

The Black Lion Hotel is in a great location, interest individual art, clean, friendly welcome and very good food. The Black Lion was good value.

One night stay

Short one night stop - friendly staff and a warm welcome! Room was large with a comfortable bed, wouldn't recommend for anyone with mobility problems as the stairs are quite narrow and steep and there were additional steps in our bedroom. Delicious breakfast!
