"On arrival was told restaurant was closed due to a private function. A telephone call would have been appreciated so we could sort out our meals. Also listed as a hotel and was actually a very loud pub."
"Considering the price, the apartment was ok. There is an air fryer, kettle and toaster. Washing up is a challenge in the small sink in the bathroom. Filling the kettle is difficult as it doesn't fit under the tap in the bathroom! The bed was ok, but you can feel the springs. The TV didn't work as the aerial lead was damaged. The hair drier was dangerous as it was full of dust and smelt of burning. The views over the bay were spectacular. Ok for a couple of nights, no longer though."
"The room was awful..it had a pink very worn carpet
It had poor ventilation and no fan.. a hole in the net curtain, the bathroom had a pink bath that was full of silicone to hide all the cracks, no cold water after leaving it running for ages.
I know it's being renovated but builders everywhere and noisy.
Good point was the bed was comfy and clean."

However our main complaint is that we were staying at the hotel in order to attend an 80th birthday party in the ballroom. Part way through the party there was water falling onto the stage and onto the band’s equipment which meant that the hotel instructed us...
"Very handy hotel as a base for the attractions of the western coast of the Lake District. Set in lovely gardens and very quiet but just off the main road between Newbury Bridge and Barrow"
