"Amazing location - hidden in the middle of what feels like nowhere but is acyually 30m from central Auckland and 5m from Kumeu, which has pretty much everything you need in terms of supplies.The property is huge, and has a shed load of things to keep you occupied. the standouts where the spa and the games room. Didn't use the pool as it was the middle of winter. Some things that could be better - a few things didn't work: the fire in the kitchen was out of action, the oven didn't work, and none of the fire lighting equipment was operational. The kitchen equipment isn't as complete as it could be for such a large property, and the toiletries are all basic, which given the luxury listing, felt a little odd. There are also zero basics - no oil, salt, pepper etc, which again feels a little cheap They do mention this in the listing however, so it's not like you'll turn up and be surprised.Other than that - and none of this put a dent in what was a lovely stay with friends - highly recommend the place. Check in is super easy, and the place really is lovely."

"Perfect place for a romantic winter getaway. Stunning grounds, great room with lovely views, the lodge was cozy and the food was great - the breakfast in particular was amazing. Dinner was expensive but it didn’t disappoint and convenient onsite. No TV in the room but no need with the cozy fireplace. Bed was comfortable with nice linen. Mini fridge, good tea and coffee making facilities. Spa bath wasn’t working unfortunately but enjoyed the sauna. Would 100% recommend this place for a couple. Would also be a great place for a small conference, executive meeting or retreat."

"We had the most amazing stay here for our anniversary! The hosts went above and beyond with thoughtful extra touches that made our celebration feel so special, and we really appreciated the effort they put in.The place was spotless, beautifully presented, and so easy to access. Everything was exactly as described, making it a completely stress-free getaway.The highlight was definitely the outdoor tub - the view from there is absolutely breathtaking and worth the stay on its own. It was such a peaceful and memorable experience.We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway - we’ll definitely be back!"

"If you want private and very quiet and quirky this is just the place, there's also a wonderful hot tub to unwind in as well. there also Breakfast is provided in the fridge as well plus a few extra treats like chocolate and fruit. would defiantly recommend."
