This was probably the best equipped vrbo I have ever stayed at! Great use of the small space and very clean and affordable for the island. Bed very comfortable. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Short stay on the big island

Excellent little bungalow located in quiet beautiful place. Small but extremely clean and everything you would need. Host very friendly and easy to communicate with. Location was perfect for walking to food and the store if needed. Also close to the beach. We thoroughly enjoy this adorable little place and wish we could have stayed a little longer.

I was at this wonderful property for two weeks on two separate reservations so to see my detailed review check mine out from 1/1/25.But briefly, wonderful hosts, private, super clean & cozy! Recliner is the most comfortable chair ever! Very private. Perfect location by grocery (cheaper than by beach), little restaurants. Amazing scenic drive down mountain to beach!

Small but clean and cozy. Bed comfortable. Lots of little extras provided. However, owner has dogs, one of which barked a lot when outside by the slider entry door. Also house backs onto major road through town

This is one of the best vacation rentals we have every stayed in. Sherry and David are such nice people and so hospitable! David gave us a bottle of sparkling wine for our 53rd wedding anniversary! There were apples and protein bars in the fridge when we arrrived. The place was so clean and charming. Sherry did our laundry! We will definintely stay again if we come back to the Big Island.

2nd Time Even Better!

This is the second time we’ve stayed at this lovely home, and I honestly didn’t think it could get any better. It did! Instead of the loveseat, Sherry and Dave have put in two recliners, new patio furniture, and a reverse osmosis system throughout the home. It’s nice to see hosts that keep the property up-to-date. Dave and Sherry are a lovely couple who make you feel like family! They stock this home with everything you made. Looking forward to returning!

Very cozy! Super clean! Wonderful location, close to a great grocery store, better prices than by the beach!! Some restaurants too, (some new across). Only 5 miles down the mountain to a fantastic beach (A-bay, lots of free parking, lots of shady spots, clean restrooms and right next to the Lava Lava Beach Club!!) And what a gorgeous drive!!! On a clear day, you can look to left (and back a bit) and see the observatories on the top of Mauna Kea (tallest mountain in world from sea floor) and then you come around corner and see Maui across the ocean! It's a spectacular drive!Bed is comfy, great shower! Super well stocked. Love that they have water filter system, no need for bottled water!! And I am super fussy about taste of my water!Also love the electronic lock box for key, actually leave key in it on way out so never have to worry about losing it!Oodles of towels!Sherry & David are really responsive to messages, quick too! Total privacy but was able to meet them when I asked to do some laundry (in garage), she actually did it for me! Had really fun long conversation with them, such a lovely, fun, friendly and welcoming couple! But as I said, you have total privacy, they are just a text away!Living room/kitchen is cozy, yes small but never felt confining. Fun to be watching TV on the big screen and not have to stop show to get something in kitchen! Ha! The recliner was so spectacularly comfy!! Trying to figure out how to get it back home with me!

Thoughtful Touches

My first trip to Hawaii and this place exceeded my expectations! Extremely clean, comfortable and had everything needed! The diffuser in the bedroom was great and I was so happy to have use of water bottles, food containers, and the cooler to pack food! All the items provided for the beach were superb. Being able to visit with the dogs daily was nice. Sherry and David are very attentive and helpful hosts! Will definitely come stay again!

A place to stay near ohana

A great place for two adults. The bed was super comfy. We did not lack any appliances. Plenty of fans and airflow. The recliners were great at the end of the day. The hosts were amazing. I never had to ask a question as they provided all info. They also had some snacks on arrival which I really appreciated as I did not want to shop the first night. Just needed a little snack before bedtime. The stay was seamless. Would most definitely stay there again. Thanks!
