"Bathroom door doesn’t close without forcing it back into the jam. Elevator smelled like old seafood, which might have been from the wet mud on the floor. The hallway smells like something. I don’t know what but it isn’t good. Heat pump doesn’t work so we slept at a temperature I don’t know but would best be described as hot and sticky. The hand towel rack is directly above the toilet paper. So you’d better not drip while drying hands. The cold water tap turns on both directions so you really have to nail it to the millimeter to shut it off."

"We have always been fans of Hampton inn and stay whenever possible. We were very pleased with our stay at the Hartford location, perfect spot for my daughters admitted students day event at Trinity college. We had a 2 queen suite and the room was large and just completely renovated. Beautiful views of the river and downtown Hartford. Our only complaint is there is only 1 sink in the room. There should be a second sink inside the large bathroom. Also the indoor pool was being renovated. Free breakfast was great as usual, we will definitely stay again once my daughter starts college this fall."

"The hotel is in a great location, within walking distance of both the train station and downtown, which made getting around very easy. The property was very clean, and the beds and pillows were comfortable, allowing for a good night’s sleep. I also really appreciated the amenities, the sauna was a great bonus, and the gym was well equipped and excellent. Customer service was okay but not exceptional, and I think there is room for improvement in this area. One area that could especially be improved is the hotel restaurant. I would have loved to see a fresh breakfast option. When I ordered an omelet, it was precooked and simply reheated in the microwave. Although the staff member assisting me was very kind and pleasant, the quality of the breakfast did not meet expectations, particularly given how expensive it was. Overall, the hotel has many strong points, especially its location and amenities, but improvements in service consistency and breakfast quality would greatly enhance the experience. "

"My daughter and I stayed at Residence Inn while attending the Cardi B concert (4/3/2026) The room (a loft) was more like a small, cute apartment! We loved it! The staff was super friendly and helpful. The best part, the breakfast! They had an awesome selection of breakfast foods, fresh fruit and beverages. If I’m ever in Hartford again, I would 100% stay here again. "

"Host: Great communication, easy check in.Cleanliness: The apartment needs some TLC. The bathtub has blue stains, there were no bathroom towel racks (just holes where they used to be), and in general the pictures online seem to be enhanced/docotored to make the apartment seem more upscale than it actually is. Pros: security at entryway, dog friendly, location. cons: For this price point I have stayed at comparatiavely better quality rentals. However, it got the job done and was what I needed for the weekend. "

"The apartment is NOTHING like the photos, and we found rat feces all over the place. This host is also less than helpful. When trying to receive our refund for the first night, the host was rude and would not tell us any information regarding our money. Do not stay here. "
