"Loved Motel Ely! Super friendly/helpful proprietor offered plenty of recommendations for restaurants. Rooms are not standard modern soulless fare. Mismatched furnishings, midcentury-style mini fridges, unusual bathroom sink/toilets... but everything is spotless and functional. One of our 2 rooms had a great mural, both featured shiplap wood walls. Affordable and cozy. Also right on Sheridan St in Ely, making it easy to explore town on foot. Highly recommend."

"Cute lakeside cottage on a beautiful piece of rural property. Meticulously clean cottage. Kitchen was well equipped. Living room has an extremely comfortable reclining sofa that looked and felt brand new. Also a comfortable recliner chair. Nice big screen TV. Cabinet full of DVDs. Stereo, board games and puzzles. Comfortable mattress in the master bedroom and trundle bed in the other bedroom that would be ideally suited for children or teenagers. Great outdoor space with grill, fire pit and patio area. Large laundry room and nice 3 season sunroom. Beautiful view of the lake from the dining area. Our host Mitch responded quickly to our questions and went out of his way to ensure that our needs and comfort were met. We highly recommend "Little Lodge" and we look forward to staying again in the future. "

"ALWAYS stay here while in Virginia. Highly recommend this location. Clean. Nice rooms. Vending machines with multiple options for beverages beyond just soda. Near all of the local downtown shops. Food nearby including dine-in, fast food, grocery, and convenient store. Target is also close by. Staff is always friendly. Price reasonable. "

"The house was very well furnished with everything that you would need. The house had two nice living rooms for social time. The Blackstone and grill were a nice touch. Then a very peaceful location. We really enjoyed the stay!"

"Lovely cabin home with beautiful views. Perfectly peaceful. We enjoyed stargazing, fishing off the dock, campfire by the lake and lots of nearby hiking. Good communication with owners. All the amenities for a pleasant stay. Can’t wait to go back! "
