The best area to stay in Vrchy is the village centre, particularly around the main square and the surrounding streets.

This area is the heart of Vrchy, offering easy access to local amenities and a pleasant, welcoming atmosphere. You'll find a selection of local shops, traditional pubs, and eateries dotted around the square, which often hosts local markets or events. The village church, a top landmark, is also located here.

For couples looking for a relaxed escape, staying in the village centre is ideal. You'll be able to enjoy leisurely strolls, sample local cuisine, and experience the village's quiet charm without needing to travel far. Many guesthouses and smaller hotels are located in renovated historic buildings, adding to the romantic feel.

Families will also find the village centre a good choice due to its convenience. With shops for essentials and local parks within walking distance, it's easy to manage daily routines.

The best time to go to Vrchy is during the summer months, from June to August, for the warmest weather and most outdoor activities.

During this period, the average daily temperatures are pleasant, typically ranging from 20 to 25 degrees Celsius, making it ideal for exploring the surrounding Moravian-Silesian Beskids mountains. You'll find the hiking trails well-maintained and the chairlifts to mountain peaks, like Pustevny, fully operational, offering stunning panoramic views.

For couples looking for an active yet relaxing break, summer is perfect. You can enjoy long walks through the forested hills, visit the open-air museum in Radhošť, or simply unwind at a guesthouse with views of the countryside. The longer daylight hours also mean more time for sightseeing and enjoying local cuisine outdoors.

Families will also find summer an excellent choice. Many local attractions, such as the Štramberk Trúba tower and the Tatra Technical Museum in Kopřivnice, have extended opening hours, and the warmer weather is great for children to play outdoors. There are often local festivals and events during these months, adding to the holiday experience.
