AHR - Villa Maria, enjoy the welfare and breathtaking views to the ocean

"This stay was mindblowing from start to finish. The hosts don't just host you, they take care of you like family. The villa itself was spotlessly clean, but what truly stood out was the thoughtfulness. It felt like they'd thought of everything before we even knew we needed it. The property itself is a dream. There's a pool you can soak in under crystal-clear skies, and at night, the stargazing is out of this world. Cute cats wander the grounds, a beautifully kept garden surrounds you, and depending on the time of day, you're treated to breathtaking sunrises or sunsets over the ocean. Just down the road, a friendly local dog gives you the warmest little welcome too. But it's the host who really makes this experience unforgettable. He sat with us and shared local tips that only someone who truly loves this island could give. And then there's the buggy ride to Sete Cidades, an incredible surprise he offers his guests. Off-roading with him, seeing views we never would have reached by car, with him driving and guiding us the whole day. It was pure magic. You can feel the pride he takes in being a resident of what he calls a "magical" island, and honestly, after this stay, we understand exactly why. We cannot recommend Villa Maria enough. Thank you for one of the best travel experiences we've ever had. We'll be back!"

"Casa do Canto was an amazing place to spend our time in Sao Miguel! Sergio and Maria were very communicative throughout our whole stay. Even giving us tips and recommendations for the best places to eat and visit. The home and garden were beautiful - even better than the photos. The house was comfortable and complete with everything you would need for the stay and the pool was an added plus for the kids. The home is ideally located on the island - with everything you need close but far enough to have the peace of the island to enjoy. We loved our stay and are hoping to be back soon!"

"The house is exactly as advertised. Great view. Clean. Fantastic communication with the host. They do provide a blow dryer (for non europeans this is essential) and a washer which was great since we stayed a full week. Best deal on the island. Would highly recommend."

"Mooi huis aan rand van groot meer. Ruime living, keuken OK - er is geen vaatwas en uitrusting kan wat beter (beperkt aantal pannen, ontbreken van dessertschaaltjes, geen eierdopjes) Drie grote ruime slaapkamers met goede bedden. Badkamer Ok.Op elke kamer is verwarming en ventilator aanwezig. Eigen parkeerplaats. We arriveerden zeer laat (22:30) maar dit was geen probleem. Zeer veel uitleg gekregen over huis en recreatie-mogelijkheden in de buurt. Goede wifi. Ik raad dit huis zeker aan. Tip voor wie met kinderen dit eiland bezoekt: het gemeentelijk zwembad van Lagoa. Dit goedkope (2,50 pp) zwembad heeft zowel gewone zwembaden als mogelijkheden om in zee te zwemmen/spelen Er is toezicht en sanitaire voorzieningen (douches, wc, kleedhokjes) zijn prima."

"Fantastic unique opportunity to stay in a historic windmill - the property is fairly large and the interior is very well built! Like the rest of the Azores, it could feel damp and humid at times, but there are air conditioning units throughout and the windows made it feel airy at times! The property is also relatively quiet with the exception of some birds that live on the property, but they didn’t bother us at all! Overall we would recommend!"
