The property itself was perfect for us, we were 5 in total, ages ranging from 75 to 13! Plenty of space both indoors and out and everything we could think of was provided! The provision of a fan in the bedroom was a very welcome addition for the hot nights. It's in a very quiet location, but convenient for amenities in nearby Ceret and a wealth of walking options. Our only disappointment was that the bat roost that had been in the veranda roof had been blocked up since we were last there - on our last visit we had enjoyed sitting out...

"Incredibly remote and rural location with the best located pool I've experienced! (light salt water too which was lovely) Very helpful and pleasant owners (Francoise & Giacomo) who also left us in private. We were looking for a few tranquil and relaxing days with access to coast/towns and mountains during the day - this surpassed our expectations! very ecological with solar power etc. Tip; take a swim or sit by the pool after dark, the sky at night is breathtaking - highly recommended."

"The house is beautifully renovated in a Catalan style, traditional to this area. It has everything you need for short or long term stays and is very homely. The village (Palalda) is a perfect location on the south facing (sunny!) side of the mountain. Great for sports as there are so many cycling, running/ hiking routes in the area and it is close to the lake at Saint Jean and not far from the coast."

"I loved this hotel. The staff were really friendly and happily spoke English, especially the lady at reception who made lots of suggestions where to eat and what to see. The bed was comfy, and the shower was good and didn’t flood the bathroom like too many hotel showers do. The room had a kettle and teabags which I appreciated. Everything at this hotel was well thought-out and made sense - layout, lift, security code to get back inside on an evening etc. The location was perfect for the old town and the train station. The airport bus stops right outside too."
