Located at the foot of the Albères Mountains, this area marks the meeting point between the mountains and the sea and is an ideal spot for hiking or mountain biking, with panoramic views of the Roussillon plain and Mount Canigou. From the cottage, you can set out directly on foot along the trails—a simple invitation to unwind. History buffs can visit the Santa Maria del Vilar Priory or stroll through the narrow streets of Laroque-des-Albères. Just a few minutes’ drive away, the Catalan coast reveals its beaches, particularly in Argelès-sur-Mer, while Collioure charms visitors with its colourful harbour, royal castle, and artistic atmosphere. Further inland, Céret showcases its Catalan identity through its market and museum of modern art. Finally, the proximity to Spain makes for wonderful day trips to Catalonia. "Les Oiseaux du Paradis" is a fully air-conditioned, single-story attached cottage located near the owners’ home. It is designed to comfortably accommodate two people. You’ll have a cosy living area that combines the living room, dining area, and a functional kitchen (equipped with a 2-burner induction cooktop, combination microwave-oven, kettle, drip coffee maker, and toaster)—ideal for preparing meals with ease. A bathroom with a toilet completes this level. The bedroom, designed for your rest, features a 140x200 bed, perfect for peaceful nights after your days of exploring. Outside, you can enjoy a shared garden with beautiful trees and flowers, perfect for relaxation, as well as a private terrace equipped with an electric barbecue/plancha for your outdoor meals and a bocce court shared with the other accommodation for social gatherings. The property also features two guest rooms and a second holiday rental. You’ll have access to the heated pool, open from May 1 through October 31. The spa pool is available year-round. An air-conditioned gym is available for you to use at any time. From the garden, you can take a hiking trail. A shared laundry room, equipped with washing machines, is also available. Parking is available on the property and at the foot of the property in a private car park; bicycles and motorcycles can be stored under cover. An electric vehicle charging station is available; payment is billed directly to the owner on-site. Two guest rooms are also available on the property (Mas Farigola dels Monts: Passiflora des Albères and L’Euryops des Albères).
