"We did not see an ice machine, but perhaps there is none. This is a very good place to stay, except one thing: you could use some ramps for ease of access to the rooms downstairs from the parking lot. There are way too many steps, making loading and unloading very cumbersome. We were fortunate to have a room downstairs, but still, walking up and down those steps was really unecessary. Your bathtub faucet took Superman's power to turn on and off! Why so stiff?! Other than that, great reception, very nice place, easy access to everything around there."

We were told we were randomly chosen to be upgraded from a one-bedroom condo to a two-bedroom unit upon check-in. It’s the quiet shoulder season in Mammoth, so it’s a great time to visit without the crowds and high season prices. We’ll be back!"

"This is a hostel type property. As such I thought it was outstanding. I needed a place mostly to sleep and prepare meals. The bedroom was comfortable. There was a floor heater that allowed me to control the temperature in the room, which was small and spartan but had everything I needed and at an excellent price. The shared bathroom was clean, with showers that had body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. Check-in was super easy and could be done at any time because they had a system for enabling late night check-in after desk staff were gone for the night. I enjoyed meeting and talking with other guests in the kitchen/dining area. The rest of my party was all camping, but I really wanted to be warm and have access to the kitchen for preparing meals each day. It worked out perfectly. I simply joined the rest of my party every morning and came back to the property in the evenings."

"My wife and I just completed a two night stay at the Alpenhof Lodge. We love the location and easy in and out. The room was nice, clean, and comfortable. Checking in and out was a breeze. The cleaning staff was very nice and when we asked for additional tissue they grabbed us another box immediately. We will definitely be staying at the Alpenhof again."
