"I reached out the first night because multiple advertised amenities were not available. The front desk while very nice was unable to assist. I tried reaching someone via the phone numbers published just to get AvantStay… not the actual person at the property. Arrival was a disaster, but once we finally got checked in, the room was nice. But we were very disappointed to find the rooftop lounge area advertised was an AI rendering. We love promoting boutique hotels and honestly we prefer them to the mundane run of the mill chains that are all the same. We are also in the film industry and have been considering the idea of purchasing a condo. However, when bringing these issues to the attention of the Code, stall tactics were used to delay any resolution and we were finally told that the hotel would reach out to us within two days of checkout - we are well traveled and know a brush off when we hear/read/see one - we gave the Code an opportunity to do the right thing - which they did not. So… unfortunately we cannot recommend this hotel and will not recommend it to other film industry companies, members, and professionals, whether local or from other areas and markets such as Los Angeles, New York, Europe, Japan, and so forth. It was a great idea in theory… but perhaps they should have delayed opening for 6 months until they finished ironing out many issues. "

"Booked a studio suite and ended up on the 3rd floor next to the main road. Crazy noisy at night and in the morning coz the coffee shop is right there. Staff didn’t even bother to ask how the stay was, else this could have been a feedback at the front desk. The restaurant, Nido, was great as always, but never coming back to the hotel. Also, staff at the coffee shop was rude! "

"There was no notice that this hotel was under renovations when we made our reservation. Otherwise, we would have booked elsewhere. Only one elevator was functional and very slow due to guests, staff and construction workers using it. In our room we had a trickle of water out of the faucet and no water in the shower. We were told that it would be a short fix but the pressure was never enough to be able to shower. There was no hot breakfast due to the kitchen being closed(one reason we chose the hotel) but a "grab bag" would available the next morning with snacks. When we checked out and asked for one, we were told they were out. There was no apologies for the conditions. This is not typical of La Quinta properties but it does make me question ever staying at another. "

"The room was very dark with poor lighting. No lamp at desk. Was up early and went downstairs to read hoping for better lighting. At 630 am they were playing lousy music loudly in the lobby making it difficult to even read. No excuse for that tonedeaf stupidity"

"We loved the location. This is a true 5 star experience- perfect Lake Austin location. Walk to the Ski Shores cafe; swim in the pool or hot tub. Catch bass off the boat dock. The views from the second story boat house just melt any stress away from you. Dr J is a superb host- very clear and prompt communication with him. Would stay again"

"The two problems we had were caused by weather which the host can not control. We could not use the pool because it was too cold for swimming. Also, the wind in the springtime was causing a multitude of leaves to fall on the property and in the pool. The host was very helpful and stayed in touch with us during our stay. We had about 35 people attend the birthday party and everyone was impressed with the property. Excellent property, excellent host."
