Low-season visit to Vilamoura

This place is a handy three-star as a base. I had a good-sized rooms with self-catering facilities and staff were friendly.

Great relaxing location, center of everything

Perfect spacious room. Only negative is a slightly dated bathroom, not the best for tall people either. Relaxing perfect location right in the middle of everything. You get not just a hotel but a little flat at this site equipped well enough. The hotel itself lacks restraunt for breakfast but a 2 minute walk onto the marina and you're spoilt for choice

The 4 of us stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment and was amazed by how spacious it really was. Hotel was very clean, the staff were very friendly, breakfast was fine, swimming pool very nice, great location as very close to the beach and marina, also had supermarket next door along with a bar that served food if you didn't want to venture far, overall had a great holiday and would definately return here

Perfect Location

The location of this hotel is absolutely perfect! The pool area is small but there were always plenty of sun loungers available. The rooms could definitely do with updating but as a base in a perfect location, you can’t complain too much. Our apartment was enormous with a giant balcony and it was cleaned daily.

Excellent location. Great views of Marina. Very clean, basic, spacious. A little noisy from bars downstairs, you must close doors when sleeping. Ok for us as it was September not sure about hotter months. Good breakfast. Pool needs some TLC, it’s small given size of hotel but did the job. Overall I’d recommend it for a friends trip and will visit again for sure

Good Hotel

The location of the Luna Olympus is great almost on the marina, I booked a marina view and it was amazing. Yes there is a bar at the bottom which stays open until the early hours and has unsavoury women in it but it doesn't have anything to do with the hotel. The things that stops this place from being a true 4* is they don't change the bedroom towels everyday and the area around the pool needs to be paved not grass as it gets worn and muddy if it rains, but I would definitely go back.

Hotel located well for plenty of restaurants, bars and the Marina and a 20 min stroll along the beach to the old town. Be aware there are extra charges! Pool towels and a key for mini safe have a daily charge if you want to use them. Apartment was enormous! Came with a living and dining area, a kitchenette with all you need to cook with including a fridge. The bedroom and living room both had new aircon units, these worked well and were quiet. The shower had great pressure and kept temp. Again be aware it runs off a boiler so if hot water runs out you’ll have to wait for it to heat up again. Rooms were cleaned daily. The hotel is in need of updating, doors and furniture chipped. Sofa smelt badly of stale cigarette even though you could see it had been cleaned. Ceiling in the bathroom had a tile missing. Pool area was nice, clean and always sunbeds available. Breakfast was ok, standard fry up ingredients alongside fresh fruits, baked items, cheeses, the ladies that made breakfast were very friendly! There are some amazing restaurants to choose from in the area, around the marina was exceptional but expensive. Take a walk and there are many local restaurants to try and are more affordable. I read a lot of reviews regarding the bars under the hotel, I was at the front on 4th floor and couldn’t hear it unless my balcony door was open. Overall I’d stay again, made for a good base after exploring or laying by the pool.

The shower curtain was molding, bath tub was never cleaned nor the sink. Bath room needs a complete over haul. Very uncomfortable Furniture. You can hear your next door neighbours chatting (regular chat not yelling). Safe was not usable.
