"We had a wonderful stay at Tojeira. This beautiful house was perfect for our family of 13 ranging in the ages 13 to 84. Bedrooms, bathrooms all spacious, beautifully appointed and the living/dinning room were ideal for our family gatherings.We all enjoyed the grounds, view and all the amenities that the house provided. The sauna, pool, hot tub plus the games room were a plus. The Douro Valley and surrounding area are well worth the visit. The views are stunning, people welcoming, and major sites within easy driving distance. Our days were full and finished with wonderful meals prepared by the house chef as she introduced us delicious Portuguese cuisine All in all, it was a perfect holiday."

"This was a fabulous find! The property host was super accommodating. We got in late in the evening and had to leave early. His mom made a delicious home cooked meal and prepared the breakfast buffet early enough for us to eat before we had to leave. The view was fantastic and the room comfortable. I wish we had more time to spend there. "

"Staff at the hotel were superb.. I read some of the comments about five star hotel in previous reviews while the hotel itself may not be a five-star the staff and the service is easily five-star… I laugh at some of the comments…. if you want little slippers and matching housecoat, look like a prince and princess, then go to Palace… the meals were suburban with the first class chef from Brazil… when I came to the restaurant bar you couldn’t want more for service and quality…. awesome place for a weekend getaway… so inconvenient to get to some of the winery for tastings, but make the best of it…."
