"We really enjoyed our stay here. We had a two bedroom - just a note that it is a bit of a walk from the main hotel area down the road, so if anyone has mobility issues they should be aware of that. The staff were really lovely and accommodating and offered us early check in as we arrived on the bus from Voss with all of the other tourists and I had a cranky 3 year old. "The lake view was amazing, the place is very simple with few amenities. You must travel by car as it's 10 minutes away from city center. You also have to take many stairs since there is no elevator to the rooms. Very quiet and peaceful."

"I stayed during the summer months, which are beautiful in Myrkdalen. The hotel was lovely, clean, and accommodating, and the staff were very friendly and very helpful. Very Norwegian; they won't fawn over you, but they are attentive, authentic, and helpful to a fault. I don't believe you could reasonably want anything they wouldn't help you find. I will definitely stay again."
