In the pretty village of Vertheuil in the heart of the Médoc vineyards, cosy gite offering a perfect pied à terre to enjoy the Médoc and a quiet and cocooning break.

Private access, parking, covered terrace, sauna, spa and fully equipped kitchen area, ideal for couples.



The gite is ideally located in the Natural Park of the Médoc, between the ports of the estuary and the ocean, calm and restful area

- 30 min from the ocean beaches (Montalivet, Plage des pins)

- 20 min from the lake of Hourtin and its leisure base (nautical base, hiking, biking, horse riding)

-10 min from the ports of the estuary and Saint Estèphe and Pauillac.

- 1 hour from Bordeaux, 1 hour from the basin and 45 minutes from Le Verdon sur Mer



Where the accommodation is located : In the heart of the village of Vertheuil, one of the prettiest villages in the Médoc. Café restaurant with terrace on the park of the XIIth century Abbey. Grocery store (Oysters from the basin on weekends). Bakery. Pizza to go. Eco museum and many wine castles.

Our stay in Vertheuil

My wife, 2 dogs and I had a great stay at this vacation home in the Dordogne region. The location of the rental is central to several excellent wineries and nearby cities. The local market is walking distance to the property and they sell fresh clams on the weekends. The property does offer a sauna and hot tub which are nice and the hosts were very attentive to our needs. There was an issue with a barking dog next store but this was quickly resolved. I would recommend driving around the reason to explore the spectacular chateaus.

Etwas untypisch arrangiertes Haus , abseits gelegen

Pros: Eigener Parkplatz, sicher hinter verschlossenem Tor, großer Wohn-/ Eßbereich mit großer Küche, alles da mit Spülmaschine, Backofen und Mikrowelle. Großes Schlafzimmer! Insgesamt ist die Deko aller Räume etwas verspielt im französischen Stil. Jedenfalls interessant. Die Besitzerin Vanessa war sehr bemüht, der Empfang und die Betreuung waren super. Cons: Im Dorf gibt es keine Infrastruktur, keine Restaurants , keine Geschäfte. Es liegt abseits! Das Haus ist etwas zusammengewürfelt mit einer angebauten Sauna ( die wir gar nicht brauchen ) neben der Veranda. Dadurch wirkt das integrierte Bad nicht besonders gut. Die Sitzmöbel und die Kissen auf der Veranda weisen deutliche Gebrauchsspuren auf. Die Veranda mit Kunstrasen und Plastikdach
