Staff was very professional and nice. Beautiful gardens. Clean linen. Everything in the room worked. Easy walk down to the beach and near downtown, but still quiet.

Run down. I couldn’t believe I paid what I did for this room. Restaurant was shut down. Construction everywhere. Room smelled like mold. Half the time I called the front desk, they didn’t answer. Ocean view was nice but if you open the window, all you hear is the freeway. Included breakfast is powdered eggs and frozen potatoes. This place is a dump. Ruined our trip to California.
Was looking forward to staying at this property, but was disappointed from word go. The property was being remodeled, so the restaurant was closed. Registration was not easy to find due to the remodel. There was a small sign pointing to where it was located. We were put in a room downstairs from the registration room. The hall was dark and the view was of the road. The deadbolt type lock on our door was pulled half off the wall so was useless. Overall, very disappointing stay.

My bathroom smelled like a sewer. Something was not right. I should have changed rooms but was so tired from my drive. The staff, however, we excellent.

Good location, but property is quite old and run down.
It will probably be better after the inovations are complete but it was a long walk to get to the breakfast room. The food was barely warm and tasteless. The staff was helpful and kind. I just expected more from this quality property. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. However the shower was slippery.
Expectation and reality did not coincide at all. The price does not match the quality. The photos on the site do not match. It was said that there were breakfasts, but they didn't turn out. At night, a fire alarm went off, which scared everyone. I bet a plus for cleanliness and updated rooms. Otherwise, I'm not happy!
This property is really old. Breakfast is not good , front desk not friendly, check out time 11 AM that’s not acceptable, overall poor evening is poor I don’t recommend at all

The PierPont Inn is on hold for renovation, so I was told.
The rooms are dated and smell old. The bathroom had broken tile and old grout stains. Cold air coming into through the window. The heater is old and when it kicked on it sounded like a diesel engine running in our room.
The king size bed mattress felt like a foam bed topper, with a very thin duvet cover. There was no extra blanket anywhere in the room. Towels were thin and small.
Over all experience. I will not stay there again.

Mattress wasn’t comfortable
The room was a little outdated and the mattress was not comfortable.
However the fireplace in the room was a cute comfortable touch and the location is great.
The staff was nice but the up keep of the property is horrible use to be great lived in the area for 30 years came to visit they had a great resturant. so sad.The room was so musty and shower had no pressure.
