The best area to stay in Vaumort is within the village itself, or in one of the surrounding hamlets like Les Roches or Le Bois de Vaumort for a truly secluded experience.

Vaumort is a small, traditional French village in Bourgogne, characterised by its quiet, rural setting. You'll find a few local amenities, including a church and perhaps a small shop, but the main appeal is its peaceful countryside and easy access to the region's natural beauty. It's an ideal base for exploring the rolling hills and forests of Bourgogne.

Couples looking for a romantic and tranquil escape will find Vaumort perfect. The village and its immediate surroundings offer a chance to unwind, enjoy long walks in nature, and experience authentic French village life away from crowds. You can easily spend days exploring local vineyards or simply relaxing in a peaceful setting.

For families with young children, staying in one of the hamlets just outside Vaumort, such as Les Roches, can provide more space and an even quieter environment. These areas often feature larger properties with gardens, offering plenty of room for children to play while still being a short drive from Vaumort's centre and local attractions.

The best time to go to Vaumort is during the late spring (May-June) or early autumn (September-October) when the weather is pleasant and the region's natural beauty is at its peak.

During these months, the countryside around Vaumort is particularly inviting. In late spring, you'll find lush greenery and blooming wildflowers, making it ideal for leisurely walks or cycling through the picturesque landscapes. The temperatures are mild, great for exploring the local villages and enjoying outdoor activities without the summer heat.

Early autumn offers a different but equally appealing experience. The vineyards surrounding Vaumort begin to show their autumnal colours, creating stunning scenery. This is also harvest season, so you might find local markets bustling with fresh produce and regional specialities. The weather remains comfortable for sightseeing and outdoor pursuits.
