The residence is built in the historical grounds of the 17th century Villa Capoana, which was built for the Duke of Mount Marciano and still conveys its noble past from the beautifully preserved monumental fountain and garden area with the famous Fiumelatte river gushing past.

Guests can either access the gated residence by a flight of steps from the street level or by the private garage which is located inside the residence and is provided for guest’s convenience.

The contemporary holiday home benefits from 80sqm of modern and spacious open plan living and serves as the perfect retreat from which to relax and entertain during your Lake Como stay.

A stylish and inviting living area is furnished with a comfortable cream sofa, flat screen TV with DVD player and a dining area for up to 4. Doors lead directly out to the sunny private lake view terrace, which is the perfect spot for sunbathing and ‘alfresco’ dining, with breathtaking views across the central lake to enjoy!

The fully fitted contemporary kitchenette provides all the desired appliances for creating delicious home-cooked meals during your stay, with a gas hob, oven and microwave. A local grocery shop and bakery in Fiumelatte provides a good selection of food and fresh produce for guests during their stay and the nearby restaurants of Varenna provide the perfect excuse to enjoy authentic Italian cuisine!

Excellent View in a quiet town
We enjoyed the wonderful view, quiet atmosphere and spacious rooms. Having a light breakfast on the terrace each morning was the perfect way to start our days on the lake. The apartment was equipped with all the necessities but lacked creature comforts. (pillows, etc.) We had difficulty connecting to WIFI but received timely assistance with a phone call. The apartment was not particularly clean - the floor was a littler dirty and there were a few cobwebs. Although advertised as having a washing machine, it did not work as we learned after starting a load and some of our clothing getting locked into the machine. This issue was handled by a phone call and visit by maintenance while we were out for the day. The just under one mile walk to Varenna, along the lake side road is scenic but a bit dicey in spots as the road is narrow. There is a wonderful restaurant in Fiumelatte you pass on your walk into Varenna and is definitely worth a visit. Overall, we enjoyed our stay away from the crowds with access to all that Lake Como as to offer.

Inaccurate description of a poorly managed rental
This is not within 5 minutes walk of the ferry in Varenna. It is a 7 minute drive and then you have to find parking. The apartments wifi does not work, nor do its plugs in the kitchen. To use the microwave you would have had to put it on the floor to use another outlet. The cleanliness was not great with hair on the bedding etc. the pillows were stained. The “private” patio does not have a rail on the main side and so can be accessed by anyone. We have stayed in the city in Rome and heard less street noise. It was continuous and with a broken air conditioner and fan we would have liked to sleep with the windows open which was made impossible by the noise. There is a beautiful view of the lake and it could be a nice place with better management. I did contact the property managers and their response was that they would update the listing. I hope they do.

Beautiful View, WiFi Issues
We had a beautiful view and the place was very clean. Although there were positives, we had major issues with wifi. We called the number listed on the front door along with the other two numbers listed. We called the main number about 3-4 times and they were barely any help. The wifi name/password listed was not appearing on our phones even though the wifi box was working. We realized the wifi box was the wrong box listed for the place. This caused many issues for calls/texts and reaching out for transportation around the area. Very unhelpful until multiple complaints were made and a tenant came to resolve the issues. Management needs to be more helpful and consistent with issues such as this.

Our stay with Lake Como Holiday was unsatisfactory to say the least. While the view was beautiful and contacts responsive most of the time, these responses were rarely helpful. Time and time again we were given WiFi networks that didn’t have a connection. Navigating an unfamiliar town without internet proved to be very difficult especially considering you need to make reservations if you want to eat in this highly tourist area. When we arrived there were hairs in the bathroom, a dirty dish in the cupboard, and stains on the couch. My husband and I spent a good chunk of time using our own Clorox wipes to clean floors and surfaces. One of the main reasons we booked this place was to take advantage of the washer. It kept stopping mid cycle and would not drain any water out. Not to mention the fact there wasn’t even any detergent provided. My husband had to use a cup to fish the water out, wring out sopping wet clothes, and hang them on the balcony in hopes they would dry in time to pack up and leave. This definitely put a “DAMPER” on our honeymoon. It goes without saying we will never be using Lake Como Holiday again

Un peu décevant...
Très belle vue, bon emplacement près du lac et proche de Varenna, ville charmante. Mais un peu de bruit car la route est passante. Et assez dangereuse (pas de trottoir) L'appartement est fonctionnel, mais gagnerait à être un peu plus cosy.. et le wifi serait bienvenu!
