"It is hard to put into words how great this family vacation was. The Villa Eleonora is better than the description used here on VRBO. We had 11 people, my wife and I and three children and their spouses, along with 4 grand children. The location was ideal in itself with beautiful open country in the foothills of Umbria. "Honestly we were so happy with our stay in this gorgeous home in Spello. I have no doubt that if we return to Italy, we will return to Spello and hopefully stay here again. The view from the patio was unreal and the accommodation itself was very charming. Our check in process was great, the host was so lovely with showing us around and getting us settled in. We could not recommend this stay enough."

"No breakfast or drink water avaiable upon arrival, i suggest to procure them before. No line cell without wifi that is into the house, i suggest to download the video to reach the exat position before arriving in the farmhouse. The garden is a little space behind the entance. Not recommended for many people due to the small bathroom. Beautiful the view of the hills and the peace. "

"I came across this recommendation for Hotel Umbra after stumbling across the CatholicsTravelersGuide blogsite when doing research for my trip to Assisi - I am so glad that I did! My mom and I loved the place. Our trip to Assisi was magical and this hotel made us feel right at home. It has the historic & quaint charm of what you associate with Francescan times, which made the trip that much more unique and spiritual. The entire staff was delightful & hospitable. Carlos, specifically, was so helpful in checking us in and was an assuring constant face throughout our stay. We gave each other a big hug on our way out to the taxi. As a family owned business, it was delightful to meet Paola and the other señora who own the place. The views from the windows and terraces are spectacular, place was spotless, and we slept like babies in their comfortable and warm beds. Walkable from the major basilicas, shops, restaurants, and right in the middle of Piazza del Commune. Breakfast was tasty and the dining and house cleaning staff were so servicial and friendly, even with my minimal Italian. Thankful for the elevator for our massive luggages from our multi-city trip. We’ll be back again!"

"Charming place, immaculate, and breakfast is an adventure with so many marvelous offerings. Sadit was our server, and welcomed us each morning with love and attention to detail. Sadit Loja and the front desk attendant Valerina were the quintessential professionals who made our stay feel like we were royalty. The wellness center is indeed a real jewel of the Brufani Palace, with the heated indoor pool built under the Etruscan vaults. The steam-room, and the sauna are divine. The location is supreme and only steps out front you have a panoramic view of the majestic mountains, and many shoppes and restaurants. Apreitivo hour is a time to sit in the piazza and savor the moment. It's no wonder why such Royalty as Queen Elizabeth, and many other notables chose the Brufani Palace in Perugia, Italy as it is most definitely a supreme choice. "

Wish we had taken a taxi from the airport as the airlink bus and metro were great but the lack of signage at the back of the hotel and the dreadful paths leading to it meant a poor start to the trip. However that said if ever we came to Perugia again we would most certainly stay at the hotel again. "
