"The staff there are top-notch! Real friendly, super helpful and always make you feel welcome. I'd like to extend a shout out to Keylee, Alexis and Gina who really went above and beyond. It was a joy to meet them and they always came through with what we needed, especially when it came to getting an extra pillow, some hot water for tea, and extending our stay another day due to the blizzard. I would also like to recognize the unsung heroes who keep the breakfast line stocked and running smoothly! For them, and the ladies at the front desk, and even the maids, it was always service with a real smile!! 😊 I might also recommend the placement of an additional chair near the elevator on each floor. Sometimes a person just needs to finish a phone call or just have an extra place to set something while they get ready to ride the elevator. Have a wonderful day! Rocky Greene"

"Toilet wouldn’t flush, shower wouldn’t drain, valet was incredibly slow, front desk wasn’t very nice. The best part of the stay was the coffee shop and their employees. "

"Kind of weird corner of Des Moines, but the hotel was good, basic, and clean. Older motel, but in generally good condition. Good Mexican restaurant next door. "

" 750 dollar hold put on credit card. 3x the booking price! Had to message host to ask about this and sure enough with in seconds a credit was issued to my card. We didn’t even use the property as a flight was missed and a snowstorm prevented the travelers from coming. I informed the host of this! So they got free money as they don’t even need to clean it and tried to scam 750. Wow! I would NOT book this place again. Which is sad because it is in a great location and I thought the Host had good customer service and communication at the start of the booking. "

"If there were 4.5 I would totally give that. The house is so fun and charming. Vintage eclectic style with plenty of space. It was clean and comfortable. A couple quirk older home things but would totally stay here again. "
