Phenomenal experience

Mas de l'llon is an extraordinary and lovingly restored farmhouse on the immediate edge of the charming village of Villabrueges. Claudie and her husband have decorated with a remarkable blend of old and new, with an Architectural Digest-level sense of style and eye for detail. The compound is divided into sections for smaller groups, yet it was amazing for our group of 20 adults and teens. The kitchen, dining area, and tables outside of it became the focal point for us. The living room became our gathering spot for presentations, while the pool was the site of much revelry for all ages until the wee hours. Then, when you needed space, you could retreat to your beautifully appointed private room with your own bathroom and amazing AC. The variety of room configurations met the needs of our eclectic group. Claudie and her husband were attentive to our needs and also appropriate and fair with us when we decided we knew how to fix the faltering but elaborate coffee maker and broke it instead. I cannot recommend this beautiful lodging more.

An excellent choice for our family celebration in France.

Our entire family loved being at Mas de L'ilion. It exceeded our expectations. Our hosts were a delightful couple -- welcoming us and making us feel at home. When we first arrived, they provided us with cold fruit drinks and a welcome basket of fruit. We were easily able to get fresh pastries and fruit delivered to us each day. Our accommodations were beautiful and we loved the general plan of the Mas with ensuite bathrooms which was all beautifully decorated. The exterior was inviting with the plants and outdoor seating, and of course the pool was wonderful. It is situated in a lovely village with a good restaurant/brassiere around the corner. We were able to visit many places in the surrounding area like Avignon, St Remy, Gordes, I'ile sur la Sorgue, Les Baux and even took a day trip to Marseille and Cassis. I looked for a long time to find this place and it was perfect. We hated to leave. If you have a large family or a group of friends who want to visit Provence, this home will not disappoint you. I already know my friends in the USA will be asking me to help them plan a trip here for their next visit to France. It is definitely a place we will want to return.

Wonderful stay

Amazing stay and avaibility of owners

We spent 4 days in the Mas, owners were super nice and super available during our stay. They also have a lot of recommandations to eat, visit and go around. The Mas I’Ilon far exceeded our expectations, it was beautiful and so relaxing.

Claudie and Jean-Noel were the perfect hosts. When we arrived, they served the most amazing apricot drink and shared the history of the home. The home perfectly met all of our needs to accommodate four families with a total of fifteen people. It was the most relaxing vacation, and the location was perfect. It is centrally located and you can easily travel throughout Provence to see all of the amazing sights. The home is convenient to walk to buy fresh bread each morning, and a local bar that showed the final game for the World Cup when France won. We all enjoyed sharing that moment with the citizens of Vallabrègues. If you are traveling to Provence, you should stay in this home.

From the moment I saw this listing I knew it was perfect for our family reunion and it was. Mas de l’Ilon is a beautiful property with classic Provençal charm. Claudie & Jean Noel welcomed us with apricot juice and nectarines from their adjacent farm. Their care, attention and responsiveness was just right. We all enjoyed the spaciousness, decor, pool, hot tub. Great privacy but just a little walk to the bakery, butcher & small grocery store. Very convenient. In my favorite part of France I can’t imagine a more wonderful place to stay. Highly, highly recommended.

Enjoyed our stay at Mas de l'Ilon in Vallabregues

Our group of 14 adult friends and family stayed four nights at Mas de l'Ilon in Vallabregues after our intended property's cancellation forced us to look for another property within 48 hours of our arrival in Provence. Claudie and her husband were so generous and supportive of us and their house is the perfect place for groups: Large bedrooms with ensuite baths, inviting and beautiful public spaces including a generously sized pool and jacuzzi, and a Yamaha digital piano for our nightly singalongs. The kitchen/dining area worked perfectly for our group dinners with two different local chefs and Claudie invited us to a musical dinner event in the town square which we thoroughly enjoyed. We could not be happier with our stay in at Mas de l'Ilon! Thanks, Claudie!

Provencal Beauty in Perfect Location

This property is beautiful inside and outside, even better than the photos. We were a group of 10 adults from the US, reduced by Covid from our original group of 14. Our group was easily accommodated with bedrooms to spare. All bedrooms were spacious and all, but one, were ensuite. Each had A/C and a unique feel. The outside area is very large, charming and private, with a nice pool. jacuzzi and bar area. It was the perfect place to gather after our daily sightseeing trips. Claudie helped to arrange two delicious chef-catered meals for us and also suggested and made reservations for us at other wonderful restaurants in the area. It's a very short walk to the village, where there is a bakery, grocery store and bar. It was the perfect location to explore the sights of Provence, most of which were a short drive away. We were thrilled to have found such a wonderful place!

Fabulous house with very friendly owners.

House is absolutely stunning. Very impressive interior design. We were group of 18 people. Five pairs plus kids (8-17 y.o.). We stayed in the main part of house and in two extra bedrooms/houses outside the house for one week. Kitchen was very well equipped and there was a large dining area. Every bedroom was designed in it's own style, and had separate bathroom. Backyard with large and clean pool and a big jacuzzi as well as outside bar. Owners were visiting us everyday to clean a pool and make sure that everything was fine. Town is small and peaceful. We visited many cities in the neighborhood: Avignion, Arles, NImes, Uzes and moore. Provence is charming and beautiful. We will definitely come back.

Provençal Paradise

We were a group of 3 families, 15 people in total. We had plenty of space to have privacy and large common areas to enjoy each other's company. The Mas was located close to very popular tourist areas, but a car would be a must. It is on the edge of the town of Vallebregues which has a grocery store, butcher shop, pizza places, and a bakery (that was unfortunately closed due to being on vacation.) The bedrooms were nice and cool with air conditioners and each room was beautifully decorated. Every room had its own unique style and its own bathroom! The kitchen had everything you would need and was large enough to have several cooks in the kitchen. There was also a bbq to use. The pool and gardens were stunning and well kept. Claudie and Jean Noël were very helpful and informative about events going on and places to site see. Jean Noël always had local fresh fruit and veggies to offer. Any minor issues or questions that we had were taken care of quickly. The area was safe and an automatic gate was reassuring to keep our cars safe too. This was really a taste of provençal paradise! Pur bonheur!

Nous avons séjourné pendant 1 semaine au Mas de L'Ilon avec 10 adultes et 10 enfants de 9 mois à 7 ans. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour et je ne peux que vivement conseiller ce mas. Claudie et Jean Noel ont été au petit soin avec nous. La maison est spacieuse, l'espace piscine sécurisé nous a permis de laisser les enfants profiter de l'extérieur sans crainte d'un accident. Tous les matins, nous avions la chance de pouvoir nous faire livrer le pain encore chaud et les viennoiseries. Pour les fruits et légumes nous passions par Claudie et Jean Noel directement et quel bonheur d'avoir presque à domicile de bons produits. Tout est fait pour faciliter la semaine. Je recommande vivement! Merci encore pour tout.

De gastheer en gastvrouw hebben ons heel vriendelijk ontvangen. Er lag een grote fruitmand klaar met sap van hun fruitgaard. De communicatie verliep super. Het huis heeft alles wat je nodig hebt. Het zwembad en de jacuzzi waren een groot succes! Bovendien kan je onder de druivelaar heerlijk vertoeven om te eten. Het huis heeft mooie kamers met goed uitgeruste badkamers. De locatie was voor ons minder. Voor een uitstap zaten we vaak in de auto en de fietspaden zijn schaars. Het dorpje vlakbij is wel gezellig. Een uitgebreide supermarkt vind je op 10 minuten rijden. We hebben een fijn verblijf gehad!

Accueil tres chaleureux et multiples conseils sur les environs prodigués par les propriétaires. Cuisine très fonctionnelle. Chambres très confortables. Nous avons bien profité de la piscine, du jacuzzi, de l'espace massage ainsi que du piano. Le chat est très câlin. Quelques ballades à proximité immédiate dans le village, le long du Rhône, à Beaucaire et à St-Remi de Provence pour ce week-end de Pâques où nous avons fêté les 40 ans de mon fils cadet. Un beau séjour et pleins de souvenirs, déjà !

Holiday for 5 families

Booking and payment was easy, As the date approached Claudie and Jean-Noel communicated on Wattsapp which worked for me, It was my Wifes birthday on our first evening and they kindly recommended a restaurant and booked it for 18 of us (they even managed to get a Gluten free cake on request which was the best cake I have ever tasted) The booking in was simple but with bored children who had been travelling a long time in tow was a bit frustrating for them as they just wanted to sort their rooms out and get in the pool. I had already messaged before arriving about the deposit as it was impractical for me to get €1500 back at the end of the holiday, they agreed that I could pay this in the equivalent of my local currency (GBP) Claudie showed us the house and all the bedrooms and fully equipped kitchens explaining the house and pool/hot tub rules. There is a cat Bagheera that lives in the house which wasnt an issue for us but maybe if you have allergies. There is a bowl that just needs food putting in( I dont recall reading about a cat before booking) Whilst This was happening Jean-Noel offered samples of his fresh apricot juice and showed the other guests different activities near by. During the stay we did have a couple of issues, The 1st was the Hot water stopped working, a quick message to Claudie and Jean-noel came out straight away an emergency switch had tripped, The owners sent several activities through one of which was kayaking which we decided to do on the spur of the moment Claudie accommodated this and we got extra discount on top of the group discount. From text to being in the Kyak in 3 hrs 🤣 Upon returning from Kayaking during the evening there was a powercut, We checked the trip switches but could not see anything tripped another message was sent, this was around 2150. The power was restored in the early hours when jean -Noel went to work, We then found out that the pool pump had been removed and was being repaired (not sure if this was anything to do with the power outage) This meant we were without the pool for almost 2 days which again was frustrating. Having said that when we had issues or requests Claudie and Jean -Noel were happy to sort . You will need a car (we had 2 x 9 seaters and a smaller car) as there is no local taxi service. The house itself is beautiful and ideal for larger families or groups. Thank you Claudie and Jean-Noel we did enjoy our stay and your hospitality.

Le grand mas de Jean Noël et Claudie est constituée de 2 parties : une partie réservée aux chambres d'hôtes (climatisées et dotées individuellement d'une salle d'eau) que nous avions réservée en totalité en première semaine seulement , donnant sur une grande et belle salle commune équipée de cuisine et buanderie , avec jolie piscine et jacuzzi extérieurs dans un espace vert moderne et enclos attenant. Nous y étions alors 6 adultes et 5 enfants bien à l'aise . Et d'une partie Mas ( en fait leur résidence principale), que nous avons louée en 2ème et 3ème semaines et qui nous a permis de se retrouver en famille élargie (à 21 personnes*), en particulier autour des grandes tables sous pergola de vigne vierge bien agréable sous les chaleurs d'Août. *En y adjoignant une des chambres d'hôtes détachée du corps principal. Les prestations de la seconde (grande) piscine équipée d'une plage/pataugeoire pour les plus petits, du second jacuzzi pour 5 p , salon extérieur avec grande TV et bar/poolhouse furent les plus appréciées par la "communauté" . L'espace Plancha /BBQ extèrieur et l'équipement cuisine du mas , est très bien dimensionné , ainsi que le volume général ,lui aussi , enclos : bien utile pour la tranquillité des parents. La seule amélioration souhaitable serait une climatisation des chambres de la partie Mas , car en Août , lorsque le mistral n'aide pas , il fait régulièrement "trop" bon dans cette région, et c'est pour ça qu'on y vient ;) . De plus , les propriétaires , Jean Noël et Claudie , sont d'une grande flexibilité et serviabilité , avec de très bons conseils sur la maison et les activités de la région :ils nous ont assuré un approvisionnement régulier en excellent fruits (de l'exploitation) et légumes (du réseau de producteurs locaux), jus et vins. Encore merci à eux ! Le village lui même a le charme d'être à la bordure des grands circuits touristiques , avec, très proches , une superette suffisante et des petits commerces et restau , tout à fait convenables et peu chers. Ce que nous avons aussi découvert , c'est donc l'énorme offre d'activités diverses à pratiquer, à pied (circuits de running/jogging géniaux),à quelques km jusqu'à 45 mn en auto au max . Trop long à détailler . Toujours en été , des innombrables fêtes - vraiment - de village , votives/taurines, avec de bonnes ambiances. En fait , très rares ont été les journées de farniente sur 3 semaines . Conclusion : incontestables 5 étoiles pour l'ensemble !
