"This was our first B&B. Fred made us a fantastic breakfast. He was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area and made our stay in Valdez memorable. We stayed upstairs. The bedroom across from us was not rented. So, we had our own bathroom. Even though the house is close to the nearby highway, it is quiet with peaceful, beautiful surroundings. His home is spotless, the bed is so comfortable. Thank you, Fred."

Relax comfortably & enjoy a 2-bedroom studio in Valdez perfect for your getaway.

10/10 Excellent
"Our group of four older adults really likes this property. The interior is mostly comfortable for the square footage, and the outdoor area is extremely private and quiet.Pros: Everything is modern, new and attractive. The beds are extremely comfortable, the provisions beyond our expectations, and the quiet neighborhood is much appreciated for our mature group. The laundry area is full-size and works perfectly, with provided detergent and fabric softener. The hotel-style lotions and soaps are a nice touch. Upon arrival, it is extremely clean, and located in a very quiet area, within easy walking distance to town, gift shops amd restaurants. If anyone was present above the unit, they were extremely quiet. Cons: The kitchen/living arrangement isn't ideal for four. If someone is working at the kitchenette, there is little space to move around said person due to placement of the sofa. The sofa is reclining leather, extremely comfortable, but only seats three. The fourth person must sit uncomfortably at the kitchen table, which is fine for short periods; for an evening or older person, isn't relaxing at all. Our suggestion would be to add a comfortable chair. The doors and floors are also extremely noisy. Every door squeaks loudly, and the floor creaks with every step, waking everyone during the night, being light sleepers. We absolutely recommend this apartment, and we will 100% rent on a a return trip if it's available."

"This home was absolute perfection for our needs. The 8 of us spanned ages from 4-64, and consisted of 2 couples and the family of 4 with a 4 yo girl and 6 yo boy. The master BR was perfect for the family of 4 with a large air mattress to accompany the queen bed. The other 2 BRs were very comfortable with good beds and all rooms had ample storage for clothing. The bathrooms were great. The kitchen was outfitted with everything we could possibly need. Plenty of dishes along with cookware and excellent small and large appliances made preparation of Alaska's bounty (salmon mainly) easy. The laundry facilities are great! The living room is really nice with a super comfortable couch and television. Our evenings were made fun with a large selection of board games as well. Valdez itself is perfect for a base of operations! We took salmon fishing trips in the sound, sightseeing trips, and if you hit the salmon runs, fishing from shore (near Solomon Gulch Hatchery) can be excellent. There are excellent hiking opportunities, both long and short and the wildlife is plentiful...bears, sea lions, eagles, ... Communication was perfect all the way through. I cannot possibly recommend this home highly enough!"
