You will find on the ground floor a sitting area with bench seat, a pellet stove and a fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, oven, hob, fridge, freezer, washing machine, ...)

Under the roof of the Ariège, come and combine sport by taking advantage of the many outdoor activities (hiking, caving, canyoning, climbing, ...) and rest inside a small haven of peace.

On the first floor, a bedroom with a 140 bed, another with a 140 and 90 bed, bunk, a bathroom with walk-in shower and WC, reading corner.

80 m² exterior with garden furniture and barbecue.

-RDC: pellet stove: from November 1 to March 31: 4 bags of pellets included per week (if less than a week pro rata) (equivalent to a temperature of about 20 degrees) & 1st outbreak free

Wonderful stay in inspirational environment

This is a lovely house; it is superbly equipped and maintained and it has a great garden, full of evening sunshine. Everything about the accommodation was excellent, and we are really grateful to have been able to stay here. The village also offers exceptional activities. You can hike in the forests and mountains nearby (no car needed) or travel a short distance to local towns, which are full of the most beautiful buildings, from different periods (Gallo-roman to the present). We had a wonderful stay here and we recommend it very warmly.

Good value gite in great location

The gite is in a quiet street in the authentic and accessible mountain village of vicdessos. A car is handy for accessing some fabulous mountain walking. The gite is very well equipped with a good kitchen and bathroom. There is a good unfussy garden space with views. The sofa isn’t great but the main bed is comfortable. The village has a restaurant / bar - serving good local beers and decent food.

Idyllic Pyrenees

This house is in a perfect situation, just off the main route, so quiet. Val de sos (Vicdessos) is a fabulous village in the middle of the Pyrenees, surrounded by extremely beautiful mountains, yet you can walk to the local restaurant, cafe and supermarket, which are all great with super friendly owners and staff. There is plenty to see and do in this region and Tarascon is only 15km for more action. The house has been tastefully modernised (nicer than shown in photos) with great plumbing and fire, so not at all cold. Lighting is limited on the ground floor like many original French houses. Comfort in the beds and couch was unfortunately lacking and could easily be upgraded to match the rest of the house. Note, many sundries are not provided, so bring your own, eg hand soap, clothes washing powder, fly spray, cooking oil.

This was our second stay in this cottage, and we had a fantastic time. The house has ideal dimensions for an outdoor holiday cottage and it contains everything you could ask for. Vicdessos is a wonderful location for an activity-based holiday, with incredible hikes within easy reach. It has good shops and an excellent market every Thursday. There is much to interest lovers of history in the immediate vicinity, and there are beautiful towns and good vinyards not far away. We hope to return soon.

Super séjour dans ce gîte de montagne que nous avons loué à la semaine. Le logement était très, très propre, vraiment impeccable à notre arrivée. Tout est bien entretenu, fonctionnel et agréable. Die Wohnung ist geräumig, modern und gemütlich eingerichtet. Alles ist sauber und übersichtlich. Wir schätzten die ruhige Lage. Der Kontakt mit der Vermieterin ist pragmatisch. Hand- und Geschirrtücher müssen selbst mitgebracht werden. Der kleine Wochenmarkt im Ort (donnerstags) lohnt einen Besuch. Insgesamt eine sehr empfehlenswerte Unterkunft für einen erholsamen Aufenthalt in einer tollen Umgebung.

Gite dans une maison de village située sur une placette de Vicdessos. Spacieux, calme et bien équipé avec un petit extérieur à l'arrière. A proximité d'une épicerie achalandée de peoduits locaux, d'une supérette, d'un bar restaurant, d'une pharmacie.Beaucoup d'itinéraires de rando à proximité Propriétaires du gite accueillants et à l'ecoute. Bref très bon séjour et une belle découverte pour notre première venue dans l'Ariege.

Le gîte est idéalement situé pour toutes les jolies principales ballades de différents niveaux . Petit supermarché ,boulangerie ,pharmacie, bar restaurant et office du tourisme . Le calme du gîte et son petit jardin sont propices au repos après de longues ballades .

La casa es muy cómoda y decorada con mucho gusto, por poner una pega, creo que es necesaria un poco má de luz en la zona de la cocina. El pueblo es pequeño pero tiene un Spar que está bastante bien. Muchas posibilidades de hacer excursiones de senderismo , visitar grutas y castillos, pero mejor ir en primavera- verano.
