What a shame everything was excellent until we returned to the hotel at 10:30pm in a taxi and couldn’t get a response from the intercom to get into the drop off area and to enter the hotel. I had to phone the hotel and get them to pick up and raise the gate. This part was not 5 star. Only blemish on what was a very good overnight stay.

Room very clean and tidy, fabulous shower. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Room was clean and had everything we needed. The staff were exceptional and very helpful.

Studio Unit had been redecorated, and was spacious and great to have kitchen facilities. We will stay again.

We have stayed many incredible and beautiful places all over the world. Te Karaka Lodge is completely in a class by itself! Everything and everyone in this place is superb. There is not one little detail which is not lovingly cared for by the staff. It is a gorgeous place in gorgeous surroundings. There were 4 of us and we were very sad not to be able to book a second night. Dinner was indescribable. Every presentation rivaled a masterpiece painting. We have many pictures of both dinner and breakfast the following morning! An exquisite and memorable place which we loved and appreciated to the fullest.
