Soraypampa Sky Dome Camps

Soraypampa Sky Dome Camps

10/10 Excellent
"I gave this stay excellent ratings across the board because, while it wasn’t a luxury hotel experience, they did an amazing job with what they have in such a remote location. The domes were clean, warm, and ready for us on time. The staff was very attentive and seemed to be constantly working to make sure everyone had hot water, clean facilities, warm bedding, and good food. They also offered inexpensive home-cooked meals, plus fun little extras like snacks and hot cocoa for our family. The location is what really makes it special. We had breathtaking views of Humantay and Salkantay Mountains right from our domes, and there was very little light pollution, so the night sky was beautiful. This is a small business with limited staff, and we really appreciated how hard they worked to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of. We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a unique experience in Soraypampa."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Uraca?
The best area to stay in Uraca is along the main road, Avenida Ferrocarril, which offers easy access to the train station and local amenities. This area is the heart of Uraca, providing a convenient base for exploring the region. Avenida Ferrocarril runs parallel to the Urubamba River and is where you'll find most of the town's hotels, restaurants, and shops. It's a busy thoroughfare, especially around the train station, but it's very practical for travellers.Couples looking for a relaxing stay will appreciate hotels slightly set back from Avenida Ferrocarril, perhaps closer to the river. These establishments often provide a quieter experience with lovely views of the surrounding mountains and river, while still being a short walk from dining options and the train. For those prioritising convenience and access to the train for trips to Machu Picchu, staying directly on Avenida Ferrocarril or within a few blocks of the train station is ideal.

You might experience occasional rain showers, but these are generally short-lived and don't typically disrupt travel plans.
