"I love coming here but it was under construction and all the construction men's were acting inappropriately and not only that they brought all their family so everything was just completely full of the pools were full the hot tubs were full they were acting inappropriate every time you walk by they would whistle and there was so so many of them with all their family it really ruined our stay and I love it here this is my favorite place to come but the people doing the construction in the parking lot completely ruined it for our vacation not only that there was makeup brushes where our bed was there was gummy bear candies left on the floor in the living room and there was a drop of period blood on the toilet it's really sad because I love it here but with those things that ruin my vacation"

"On my first night there the phone started ringing in the room at 12 o’clock midnight. It rang over six times between midnight and 430. I did call the office at 2:30 and got the answering service. At 4:30 I finally realized I should unplug the phone. I spoke to the office on Saturday morning and was told that it had happened once before. I spoke to the office this morning when I was checking out and said that no one from management had called me on my cell phone. She said that they were aware and that it had happened a week prior in my room. I love staying there and I generally come once a month now, but I was very disturbed. That management did not even acknowledge that 4 1/2 hours of my sleep were disturbed. "

"Our room looked like it still needed finishing from light replacement. There were lots of tiny bugs crawling on the floor and tv stand, pretty sure they were baby cockroaches as we did kill a big one crawling up the wall! Also, we did not have any hot water, front desk said that the boiler went out and to wait about 15 mins. We did and the water was still not hot. I asked to move rooms and they gave us a different room to go take showers in but not to relocate permanently. While I went across to the other building to shower, we got a call from the front desk that they would have to relocate as the repair to the boiler would not be fixed until after our stay was over. Sending us to a working room just to shower is not acceptable and not good customer service. Offering to relocate rooms should have been the answer right off the bat!! This will never be an option to stay again. Two sars only because the property was located on the lake with a beautiful lake view"

"There were pubic hairs in the shower bottom, along with long curly head hair wrapped around the shower faucet. The room was dark, and I was still able to see that it had been a long time since someone dusted or looked at the top of the curtains. The cobwebs appeared to have been there for a very long time. "

"Wonderful hotel, beautifully restored. The service was top notch. We couldn’t get a reservation at Blue Wings Saloon nearby for Valentine’s Day, and the owner / manager made it happen for us - which was a welcome treat after a long day of travel. Will definitely stay again, here or at any other property of this group."

"We found Laura’s beautiful lake front home perfect for our annual weekend get away. There was plenty of space for private times and lively spaces for our times together. Views of the lake, gorgeous sunrises and birds of all species entertained us. The well appointed kitchen was a great space to prepare our meals. I’d highly recommend this home for a nurturing getaway. "

"As noted in other reviews, this facility is well-located, nicely maintained and clean. Bed was comfortable and everything worked. BUT- I had among the worst check-in experiences ever. Arriving at 9:30p after a long day, the door and night window were locked. I repeatedly called the two posted numbers and rang the night bell, waiting in the cold for over 10 minutes. When the groggy (?) clerk finally arrived, he was apparently unable to login to the reservation system to check me in. He finally gave up, and said he’d give me a room key, and the transaction would be taken care of in the morning. Of course, the room key didn’t work, and after a further delay, he was able to get me into a room on the second floor - nearly 30 minutes after I arrived. And unsurprisingly, the office was locked and unattended the next morning. Definitely not recommended."
