"It was absolutely fantastic. An old Villa transformed in a boutique hotel with great personality. It is like to be at home but even better! Many languages are spoken there! Rooms are gigantic and furniture is practical yet with a neat design, although the rooms look very romantic. The cosy lounge at the first floor with the balcony and the garden outside complete the picture...."

"Die Zimmer sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber sehr sauber! Wir fanden es etwas kühl im Zimmer, konnten aber die Heizung etwas aufdrehen und dann wurde es besser. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt. Das Frühstück war lecker. Das Nachtessen und die Küche sind gehoben und sehr lecker."

"I like the vicinity to train station and Altstadt shopping and restaurants. The hotel lacks a few safety features in the Bathroom area like unsave bathtub ie could use rubber mats or hand rails. The Bar/Restaurant on street level is excessively noisy (music - low level base) at weekends Friday/Saturday up to 4AM."

"The main hotel building is pretty good, cozy, recently renovated, however the annex building is far from that - it has a vibe of 1980s apartment complex, also not the cleanest. Views are lovely, as well as the area around. The breakfast is pretty bad - choices are limited, quantity is such that everything runs out quickly and, generally, the restaurant is far from great, offering canteen-quality food at Michelin-starred prices."

Staff was friendly and very helpful in answering questions about where to go eat, etc. The one thing to note that the Expedia listing does not make clear is that there is basically no privacy when taking a shower, which can be bad if you are sharing a room with family or friends. "It’s a little outside of Lucerne, so be prepared to have a car specifically for this location. Transportation isn’t nearby or walkable and the Ubers are expensive! Other than that, it was awesome to have free breakfast and a bunch of dining options so close by on the shared property. The room and bathroom were large and clean! "
