"The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. The first room was "clean", but had an awful musty smell. He apologized and gave us another room, which was much better. However, the toilet paper holder was falling off the wall, and the shower faucet did not work properly. Water was lukewarm at best. Handle made a crunchy sound when adjusting it. Also, there was no visible sign on the road. Thank God for GPS!"

"We planned a few months in advance to stay at a nice VRBO. Communication with the Host was going well right up to check-in time. Then she ghosted us, number turned off according to tech support, and the location didn't match the pictures online at all. With my family, our dog, and in-laws in another vehicle we sat on the side of the road while we navigated the problem. Once we secured a dog friendly hotel for the night that had refrigerators big enough to hold our food for the week, we searched through the options that met our need. We found Celtic Green on the list. Close to the Naval Base (there to visit our sailor), dog friendly, spacious, has a gas grill, and 4 bedroom areas met our basic need. We booked it and immediately got emails from what I assume is an automated system (too fast and too late to be otherwise). We received a welcome text as well and were given all the instructions to access the property. I texted with Stephen to explained our compromised situation and asked for an early access if possible to get out of the summer heat. We were notified that it would be available a little early which made our situation better. Upon arrival, I used the rear door code and walked in to verify it was suitable for the family. Honestly, given how rushed we were to decide, it could have been much worse. But it wasn't. This place has nice hardwood floors on the main entry level, stairs, and second level into the three bedrooms. The third floor is the bonus bedroom which has carpet and a bunk bed. Full Laundry on the second floor between the bedrooms. Large walk-in shower with a small step to get in has a nice shower head with good pressure and includes bottles for shampoo, conditioner, and body wash (in each bathroom). The Kitchen is full size with plenty of counter space to work. The gas stove boils the tea pot in minutes. And the refrigerator is side by side, large enough to hold everything we needed. A pantry was next to it plus plenty of cabinet space. The gas grill is a standard size for a residence and propane was already hooked up. A spare tank was behind it too. Only issue I found with the grill is the tighter location for cooking. Space between houses here is tight. Landscaping and trees makes it tighter. The grill is on a slight tilt due to the ground and just needs a little attention while cooking. Recommend a runner to shuttle items to the grill and kitchen. Parking is limited as all other comments have mentioned. Initially, I didn't see how we could get two cars on the gravel pad. It worked. Both SUV / Minivan style. Any larger and you might be hanging out too far. We did find street parking available, but very limited. Because the owners may live there or visit, the driveway to the garage must stay available. We did use it to load and unload the vehicles because it was just easier. Then moved the vehicles to the gravel pad. We made it work. The house has a good Wi-Fi with instructions in many locations. Entertainment includes a nice pool table, two TV's (main and bonus room), and some games. Beaches are nearby and we chose one 30 minutes away with public access. Several neighbors were friendly, some just kept to themselves. Our only real challenge was finding the bathroom outlets didn't work. Knowing a little, I knew GFCI's controlled them. After a short hunt through the house, we found them all in the closet under the stairs on the main level. Once reset, they worked again. Others may need a note to direct them to the spot should they get tripped again. A word of caution, sound carries. So noises in one area could easily be heard in another. We could speak easily to and from the main floor and master bedroom. Interpret from that as needed. Overall, it is a great place to just hang out and relax. We really enjoyed our trip and were thankful we secured it on such short notice."
