"We booked the top floor because it has that attic, Harry Potter feeling.
OMG! It is the best hotel we have ever stayed in. The room is so beautiful. We felt like we were living in Harry Potter's house, minus where Harry really lived in.
Our only wish is that we can live in a place like this permanently.
Our kids loved it.
It really has that Precious Moments cottage feeling.
For me, it really reminded me of the hostel we stayed in Frankfurt, Germany and Britain.
The couple that are engaged and working there, are so friendly and welcoming. We will never forget their kind hospitality.

"A gorgeous historic hotel centrally located to shopping and restaurants. The hotel bar and restaurant were excellent. We opted for the King Studio and had a nice sized room. Others in our party had small rooms with queen sized beds. We will definitely will return. "

"The floor plan offers places to play, a homey kitchen for cooking and eating together, and outdoor seating for nightly games, s'mores and sunsets. We enjoyed each of these spaces. We also spent an evening birding at the park and lake just down the hill. We felt we were in a remote hideaway and yet could access the various destinations in Nevada County that we had come to research and explore. The only voyeurs were the nearby deer and buck. Fun!"
"This property is really a hidden gem of a hotel. The rates are very reasonable and the area around the hotel is beautiful. The property even has a natural waterfall and a fern grotto which is extraordinary. The rooms are older but very clean and well maintained. Also the beds are very comfortable. The room also has a small refrigerator and microwave.
All in all this is a place you should really consider. I know i would definitely come back.

"While I had this cabin booked for me and my dogs, one got sick and I wasn’t able to make the trip. Robert was extremely understanding and had great communication. He offered to refund the cleaning and dog deposit along with a free night when I rebook. Omgosh I was blown away, what a host! I will be rebooking this property in the near future. "
"If you want to unplug a bit and get away this is the place. Very clean cabins. Kitchen had everything you need. Nice sitting area outside with a grill. Very quiet and relaxing with the Yuba River right there. Staff were extremely nice. Our dogs our now depressed we came home. Pretty sure they thought it was our new home. "
