This property was perfect for my needs - an overnight stay between visits to two friends. The room was well equipped with tea/coffee supplies beautifully presented in a little wicker hamper. The bed was comfortable and I had a really good night’s sleep.

Just what we needed for a break.Room was on the small side but well equipped, spotless and very clean with good tea making facilities.. Ken wad extremely helpful both around the property and local knowlefge. Breakfast was just missing croissants but was suitable for our needs. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and recommend it.

A really wonderful guest house, very clean and good amenities. Only downside is that the wifi wasn’t brilliant, however this didn’t bother much us as we were out enjoying the beautiful nature around the guesthouse.

We got a lovely welcome, a nice cosy room that was very welcome with the temp dropping to 1 overnight. Breakfast was great and the owner very helpful. We were only there one night, but would happily stay longer again when visiting the area.

A very warm welcome on arrival and also when we checked out. Property was very clean, cosy, comfortable, very accessible to all destinations around the Lakes Felt like home from home. Definitely will be returning for a stay

We had a lovely stay at Lakes End Guest House. Frank was a great host very friendly and helpful. We had breakfast 3 of our 4 mornings.....continental...which suited our needs. I would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Great for a budget trip to the Lake District
Had a lovely three night stay in the twin room. Comfortable beds, good location, clean bathroom with plenty of towels, beautiful gardens, ample parking, and a great price. Everywhere nearby was three times the price and didn't look any nicer or in fact looked less nice. Thank you Frank!

Newby Bridge weekend
Lovely stay, great base for visiting Stott Bobbin Mill, Lakeland motor museum, Laurel and hardy Museum, Furness Abbey and a trip by steam train to Lakeside. Good breakfast - if requested - plenty of toast, coffee, cereal, fruit, yogurt and ham/cheese.

Great Stay
We really enjoyed our stay at Lakes End, where we were well looked after by Frank. Our room was spotless and well maintained during our stay with room refreshments restocked each day. We enjoyed the breakfast available which set us up well for our day's out.

A very peaceful and lovely stay. The room was very clean and very well maintained and had a great view of a lovely little garden outside. Our sudden plan to have our breakfast in the same place was yet another great decision. It was a Continental breakfast at its best. We really enjoyed the food and Frank took great care of us. Thank you very much , Frank for giving us a very warm send off from Lake District!

Perfect!
Our 3-night stay at Lakes End Guest House was absolutely perfect for us! What a wonderful house. Ideal location - not a busy area, parking available, easy access to popular spots, and beautiful scenery - what more could you ask for! Frank, our host, was attentive and kind and we enjoyed chatting with him about nearby attraction including spots to eat and where to go for a good hike. We had the continental breakfast one of the morning (only once as we wanted to sample local cafés too!) which was tasty and plentiful. Rooms were immaculate, upon arrival and thought our stay, and the fair trade tea, coffee and biscuits provided in the room were a lovely touch. Thanks so much!
