  • Jagdish Temple is one of the famous temples of Udaipur. Located in the City Palace complex of Udaipur, this temple is made in the Indo-Aryan style of architecture. In 1651, Jagdish temple was built by Maharana Jagat Singh, who ruled Udaipur during 1628-53. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu (Laxmi Narayan), the preserver of the Universe. It is celebrated for being the largest temple in the city of Udaipur. The gateway of this temple can be sited at a distance of 150 meters from the Bara Pol of the City Palace. This three-storied temple is a wonder of architecture that comprises beautifully carved pillars, decorated ceilings, painted walls and lush halls. In those times, 1.5 million rupees were spent to raise this structure. The spire of the main temple is around 79 feet high that undoubtedly dominates the skyline of Udaipur. This shikhar (spire) is festooned with sculptures of dancers, elephants, horsemen and musicians making it truly a sight to behold. As and when you approach the temple, you will be welcomed by two huge stone elephants at the entrance. On the very front of the temple, you would find a stone slab that is imprinted with the inscriptions with reference to Maharaja Jagat Singh. To reach the main shrine, you have to take a marble flight of 32 steps. Here, you will find a brass image of Garuda, a figure of half-man and half-eagle. This huge idol stands as if; it is guarding the doorway of Lord Vishnu.

The hotel was beautiful, we were upgraded for free to a suite. We had a beautiful dinner two evenings on the rooftop, and breakfast by the pool, staff were excellent, good location, short walk into town

Very happy with our stay overall. Good location. Incredible views from hotel rooftop and magnificent hotel art. Had issues with driver accommodations and there were many professional photographers on the rooftop on a daily basis including wedding preparations during out stay.

Wonderful find in Udaipur

Although quite new, Chunda Palace recreates the traditional luxury of royalty, with hand painted walls and marble bathroom. Service was excellent, although food was just average. Views if the lake from the rooftop restaurant were stunning.

Picturesque Hotel

The views from the Chunda Palace are beautiful. The rooftop pool with indian architecture to the detailed hand painted rooms and hallways are truly amazing. The complimentary breakfast was delicious. I definitely recommend this palace.

Great palace stay in Udaipur

The historical suite was amazing! The food was good and room service was great. The only poor service was during breakfast where locals clearly received favorable service. We had to ask for coffee and tea at least four times while others were served before us. The local area was outside the main tourist area. The palace itself was really beautiful with great views from rooftop and beautiful lighting at night.

Bonjour, mon épouse et moi - même du 8 au 10 Août dernier. Nous avons été très bien récu. La direction nous a donné une chambre sur classe, très grande avec tout le charme des palais indiens. L ' accueil a été très agréable, nous avons eu le plaisir d une visite de l hôtel , y compris les pices de mariage et de cérémonies. Le personnel est souriant et fait de son mieux. L hôtel est bien situé.

Bel hotel

Le personnel de l'hôtel est vraiment adorable et très avenant. Le restaurant est vraiment délicieux et le personnel tout aussi agréable et sympathique. Cet hotel est beau, les chambres sont vraiment spacieuses et très cleans. Ils sont très généreux en bouteilles d'eau. Le seul problème c'est que l'hôtel est neuf et donc nous avons eu une impression de non fini. Régulièrement près du restaurant des artisans finissaient les peintures murales. Il manque aussi de vie, il n'y a aucun bouquet de fleurs pour égayer les parties communes et c'est vraiment dommage. Je le classerai plus dans les 4* que les 5(comme nous l'avions vu sur plusieurs sites). Le petit déjeuner est assez décevant aussi. Nous avons payé 100e la nuit (prix promo) et au final nous avons trouvé cela un peu cher pour cet hotel.

참친절하고 멋진 호텔

인도풍에 인테리어와 넓은 객실 멋진 가구들...마치 인도 왕궁에 있는 기분으로 편안하게 잘보냈 습니다..수영후 세탁서비스를 했는데 무료로 맡긴후 3시간만에 깨끗하게 세탁후 보내주었고 규모가 크진 않지만 실내외 수영장과 제일 윗층의 식당에 뷰는 정말 환상이였습니다~~ 다시 가고싶은 호텔이였습니다~~직원들도 엄청 친절했어요!!
