"This hotel in the Hancock-Houghton area is located in a quiet part of town near the Portage lift bridge. It is well kept, the rooms are comfortable and spacious, and the lobby/breakfast area is clean an open. It's not a new building but it is well maintained. It is located near a walking or running trail along the lakeshore, and the lakefront provides a nice view of the lift bridge. The breakfast is both hot and cold. However, other meals require driving or walking to restaurants that are less than 10 minutes away. It's a great hotel for a relaxed atmosphere on Portage Lake and quiet at night."
Pet -friendly Cabin on Lake Superior at Sunset Cove Resort
10/10 Excellent
"We absolutely loved this cabin. We needed this getaway. And it was absolutely perfect. The view was incredible and we even had an eagle land in one of the trees about 30 ft away from us and we got to watch it fish. The cabin itself was just what we were looking for something small and cozy and the fireplace was amazing to have. We will definitely be coming back again. As We didn’t want to leave"
"They were very accommodating for my late arrival. The room was very clean and had everything we needed! We have stayed there several times during my son's attendance at Tech."

Welcome to 'The Log Cab-Inn' - Where Great Memories Are Made

"Property was amazing. Quiet and very serene. We brought our dog and the property was very pet friendly. Lots of area to walk around with pets and tucked back from road. House is well appointed with kitchen supplies for cooking at home and having laundry was fantastic as we did lots of hiking and outdoor activities. Host communication was great. Loved the blankets and slept amazing during our stay. Enjoyed the deck on three sides of the house even in the winter. "
"The kitchen had a few pots but only 1 small pan. It had cookie sheet and pizza pan. It had foil and plastic wrap. It had a regular coffee pot with filters and Folgers coffee. There was stevia and creamer. There was salt and pepper, Olive oil and nonstick spray. There was Laundry detergent and dryer sheets. "
