The staff was wonderful. From the people working at the restaurant/bar, the concierge Daniel, Fernando & Abigail to the security team. All friendly and provided great recommendations. We stayed at the Signature Room, Upper Floor Oceanview. It’s across the street. It was worth it. You can hear the waves all night. Gorgeous inside and out. Restaurant food and drinks are really good. Make sure you get the colectivo (mini bus/van)to head to the centro and other locations. Very convenient. Just tell the driver where you are headed. Taxis are pricey! Regresaríamos a este hotel sin pensarlo dos veces. Gracias.

Zamas is a great option for those who are just looking for a nice place to stay at a reasonable price, rather than some of the full-package resorts nearby.

Tulum GEM!
Zamas Hotel is an absolute GEM! We wanted to be more in the community rather than in a big all-inclusive and Zamas was perfect! The staff was so friendly and helpful, our room was right on the beach and the food was PHENOMINAL! It was conveniently located in a moderately busy part of town so it was quiet at night and only a 10min drive down to the party section of Tulum. The room was so cute and the hotel did a great job cleaning every day. I was worried about the heat and the AC in the room worked wonderfully. I would 1000% stay here again.

My friends and I just returned from a brilliant trip to Tulum. We stayed at the Zamas Hotel for 3 nights and we could not have been more happy! The location is spectacular, right on the beach in a quiet yet central area. The food and bar service was consistently awesome. Our room was a perfect mix of rustic and comfortable. Most importantly, the staff were extremely helpful and great to converse with. They assisted us with transportation and answered all of our numerous questions. Abi, Daniel, Fernando, and Iliana in particular were just so fantastic and so super helpful. I would highly recommend this property 😀!

The staff was the nicest! The rooms were so funky and special. The location was near many restaurants and the mexidivers tour shop. We loved to sit on the beautiful beach all afternoon.

This place can be passed by for now… maybe when they finish the construction and repair all the amenities… like sockets falling apart and difficulty issuing refunds??? Got to pay to stay here and step over animal feces on my way to my room. To be honest i can’t imagine how this has any good reviews based on my short stay.

My mom and I spent 8 days at Zamas. The hotel is charming and stylish and our room was more a suite than a double with a huge deck perfect for yoga. We loved the pool area, the restaurant on the rocks, watching the birds and iguanas. The hotel is on a small beach a short walk to beautiful Tulum beach. Daniel at the front desk was so helpful. And vegan friendly.

Amazing hut on the beach. Listen to the ocean relax you as you fall asleep. Almost feels like camping on the beach. The restaurant has tasty food and the staff is accommodating and helpful. Beautiful sunrise

Beach front but impossible to swim (due to the seaweed). Water was dark and smelly. The facility has no outside lights between the cabanas and it’s too dark at night . They told us we had a complementary welcome drink (one simple drink) and when we claimed it they said it would be valid only at the check in (we only stayed 2 nights ).

This is a beautiful property. I loved that our room was literally on the beach. It is an older room, but is very cute and has nice character. The pool was also nice. The staff was excellent. My only issue was the sargassum. It completely blocks access to the ocean. It also has a slight smell. But this is not unique to this hotel. It’s all of Tulum.

Stayed here for one night, and will definitely come back for a longer stay. Note: This is not a super fancy new luxurious resort. But, it has a nice open set up mixed with the environment. Which is what I like, and it is perfect for Tulum. While the beach was full of algae, I did appreciate what nature gave us, and actually the view was spectacular. Kids enjoyed the pool. It is also walking distance to stores and restaurants. I woke up 5AM, went outside my room to the hammock and enjoyed the sunrise. The checking in process and service was amigable and down to earth. Always with a smile and that local friendly manner.

The location was great, if you were looking to stay in the hotel zone on the beach. Rooms were clean although a little small, but this is a great option if you would like to stay on the beach which is normally quite expensive anywhere else. During our stay the beach did collect a lot of the seaweed on it's shores, I am not sure what the conditions are at any other time of the year but it was not swimmable at the time we were there. I will say that we had a car during our trip and they offer parking at this hotel which was a great for as during our stay.

This place is so charming! Our room was beautiful, the food was excellent, and the service was friendly and helpful. The property feels open and spacious on the beach side. I highly recommend this hotel.

Amazing. Staff was so so down to earth, kind and you really get the sense of family there. The location was perfect, the venue (for my brothers wedding) was perfect, relaxed and everything you would expect for a small destination wedding. The location was above and beyond and the food was amazing!!!!
