Casita del Sol Charming Private Studio by RedAwning
Escape to this tranquil, detached studio in beautiful northeast Tucson. This
charming, remodeled guesthouse was previously part of a ranch that boarded
horses. The south property line borders the Pantano River Park Trail. With the
Sabino Creek flowing into the Tanque Verde Wash, running water during parts of
the year makes for a scenic walking or biking path along the trail. This
studio is fantastic for snowbirds looking for a winter residence, business
travelers craving a break from the routine of a hotel room, or families
looking to experience the great desert southwest scenery of Tucson.
Enjoy your morning coffee or evening glass of wine in the private courtyard.
Read a book under the shade of the Mesquite tree or practice your putting on
our putting green! In the evenings after the sun goes down, you can still
enjoy the outdoors using the patio heater provided. Dine al fresco at our
outdoor dining area. With so much to enjoy, you will never want to leave!
However, if you do choose to venture out, there is plenty to do nearby:
Ten minutes to the entrance of Sabino Canyon Recreation Area, a part of the
Coronado National Forest that offers majestic scenery and miles of trails for
hiking, bird watching, and many other outdoor activities.
Less than one hour to Mt. Lemmon, a popular escape during the summer months
for many Tucsonans. Averaging 30 degrees cooler than Tucson, Mt. Lemmon is a
great place to explore a different environmental ecosystem. With skiing
available in winter months, and many more miles of hiking trails, Mt. Lemmon
is another truly diverse, exciting place to visit.
Five 18-hole golf courses within a 10-mile radius of the property.
A variety of restaurants and two grocery stores conveniently located nearby.

Beautifully appointed, dog-friendly Casita, tucked away in a quiet Tucson neighborhood. Close to stores, restaurants, surrounded by beautiful mountains. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!

very nice!
Sweet little casita, extremely clean, in quiet and beautiful neighborhood
A different side of Tucson, really enjoyed this property and definitely will be back. It was a quick short trip but my dogs and my husband enjoyed the fenced in little yard. I was grateful for the trail right off the property that runs by the wash. Bed was comfy for sure and overall we were happy with this studio casita.
We really enjoyed our stay at Casita del Sol, especially the courtyard where we could sit and read and relax after a morning of hiking. The casita was bright and cheery. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. Maybe best of all the neighborhood was walkable. A path along Tanque Verde Wash was just a few feet away and the neighborhood had lots of birds. We met many friendly neighbors, including a friendly emu who had a next of eggs. She would let us pat her. If you want a get away in the midst of a busy city, this is the place.
I was visiting my dad before he passes away and this casita happened to be down the street from my dads house. Completely secluded in the best area of tucson. What a cool place. Temperpedic bed was amazing. I loved the casita, it has everything a 5000sqft home has has in one room. It would sound way too cheesy to pick words that describe this place.
AWESOME.
This is the best, safest, quietest, part of tucson. Anything you need is two blocks away.
This casita is like being on the outskirts of town, except in town.
I would go out of my way to recommend people stay here if they need a vrbo in Tucson for two people and/or a child. Thank you Bryan for turning this guest house into a resort style villa. Seriously it has every single appliance and amenity that you have at home. And if you dont have a temperpedic bed at home, then youll get back from your trip and realize you are doing it wrong.
Best vrbo ive ever stayed at hands down.
We enjoyed our stay at Casita del Sol this past weekend. It was the perfect location for us as we were visiting family for the graduation weekend at U of A. We easily found the property felt very comfortable. The bed was very nice and all of the included amenities made it easy for us to feel right at home. We would definitely stay here again!
Very nice area and the property was very quiet and cozy. Nice neighborhood to take walks. Has everything you need. Perfect for us that do a lot of hiking since it’s so close to Catalina foothills. Also the bed is super comfy.
When you drive in, you might be a little leery, but fret not, this is a great place for a couple, and even better for a couple with a dog. Nothing fancy, but clean and cozy. We enjoyed walking the trail and the beautiful neighborhood. Just a heads-up, the interior is darker than the pictures suggest, and the drawers in the kitchen are a little wonky, but nothing that would stop us from returning. The owner is on site - personable and accommodating.
We really enjoyed our stay at Casita Del Sol. It is only 3 miles from Sabino Canyon Park, so we were able to get on the hiking trails early and often.
The casita is quiet, well maintained and nice to stay in. Nicely decorated, has all the things one needs for a stay, full kitchen, nice gas grill on the patio, large bathroom, comfortable shower.
The communication was great, and easy. Highly recommend.
This was the cleanest and well stocked (everything you need) of any VRBO or other rentals we've ever stayed in. Communication with the owner was always quick. Location was perfect! We would definitely stay here again.
The bathroom sink is kind of high and hard to reach if you're "short". A step stool would help.
It is obvious this property has an owner who wants you to be comfortable. We were immediately impressed with the attention to details including bug repellent if you wanted to enjoy the patio lights at dusk. Kitchen was well equipped and bathroom has a “open” shower that was well designed and lovely. Gave this one all 5s for a reason!
My husband and I stayed 6 nights here and wish it was longer! The casita was very roomy. The kitchen had everything we needed. The decor was tasteful and calming.
The outdoor space was very cute with areas to sit and enjoy. We had our breakfast and coffee at the bistro table and enjoyed wine in the evenings in the chairs under the lighted tree!
The area is just what we wanted, quiet and safe. While away from the more crowded areas, it was very convenient to great restaurants! It is very close to the Sabino Canyon recreational area and Saguaro National Park, both areas great for hikes. Short drive to Tohono Chul a must!
Communication with Bryon was great. We will for sure return to Tucson and stay at this Casita!!
It is hard to find so be sure to check for an email from the owner for specific directions. The driveway by the address is not where you enter. It is easy to find once you know to pass that and go to where the road stops. The cottage is really nice and very well stocked. The owners are nearby so can quickly help if you have a problem or need something. Lots of nice towels and linens and new appliances. The courtyard is very nice and there is an outside heater for the cool February evenings. Neither the owner nor me were able to get it started but the owner brought the one from their house to make sure I had one to use. They also brought me a crockpot to use when I asked if they might have one. Netflix was nice to have in the evening. Several options for hiking in the area. My favorite is Sabino Canyon. But when you walk out of the enclosed courtyard, you are within 20 yards of a well groomed trail that follows the Tank Verde Wash. No water in the wash at this time of year or because of the drought but a nice walk all the same. My dog loved it and we walked along it twice each day.
What a quaint little place! The location was so close to walking paths and a gorgeous neighborhood to stroll through. We enjoyed all of the amenities and the perfect layout. The courtyard was wonderful to play and have an outdoor dinner. We would absolutely stay again!
