"Very well equipped apt., very quiet area, clean and in good condition. Much larger than a hotel room at the same price level, and very central to everything in the area. Check in is by a system like a love hotel, so very easy but do look for an email with the door codes.
Location is right across from the old town area and an easy 10 min. walk from the train station. Lots of choices for restaurants and there are several supers close by and a Lawsons on the corner. Eating in is an option if you are tired of eating out and is very easy. Good way to experience how the typical Japan apt. is. "
"This is an absolutely fantastic hotel. From start to end of my short stay, the service of the front desk staff was impeccable (very helpful and friendly), check-in/check-out were a breeze, the room was spotless and large (!!!) (and so was the bathroom), and it is super near the Kurashiki Bikan area. They even have an onsen, but I didn't use it during my trip. Also, the hotel is home to an excellent restaurant Kurashiki Shirakabe with delightful Japanese cuisine. I would give this hotel 10/10!!
(I mistakenly scored the breakfast on this review even though I didn't get the breakfast package, but it's also served by the same restaurant mentioned above, so I have no doubt the food would be awesome too!)"
"Lovely room in a lovely boutique hotel. Clean, spacious, well appointed, and a great shower. 2-minute walk from the train station and a short walk to the historic quarter. Just be aware that they changed the checkout time to 10. (Some of their materials still say 11 and we had factored that into our plans.)"
"My husband and I stayed at Mitsui Garden Hotel Okayama for one night between two parts of our trip near the Seto Inland Sea. The hotel is conveniently located near the city’s JR station and within walking distance of urban landmarks like Okayama Castle. It was clean and comfortable, and the staff were excellent — they even brought our takkyubin luggage to our room so it was waiting upon our arrival. The breakfast buffet offered a mix of regional, Japanese, and Western dishes, and it was the best breakfast we had during our trip to Japan."
"Basement hot tub/sauna was a great amenity. Very walkable to city’s Bikran Historical District. Easy access to train station & wonderful nearby market."
