This is a wonderful place. Quiet, comfortable and clean. 15 year old girls loved the upstairs nook. Host was super friendly and left treats and a note upon our arrival. Would stay again.
My partner and I had an excellent time at the caboose. It was relaxing and quiet. Jennifer had left some thoughtful touches that really made us feel at home.
We loved everything about the location and the caboose. The property was gorgeous and we got to feed the horses. The views are amazing. Jennifer and Phil were the best hosts ever.
Very cute spot with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Easy to access and simple instructions, a unique interior with a very cool exterior. Host was easy to communicate with, left some home grown fruit in the kitchen as well.
I stayed here with my family and we had an amazing time. The hosts were really helpful and accommodating and the property was absolutely stunning! They had cornhole and other games for evening fun before we hung out around the campfire. I am definitely going to book this property again.
The Little Red Caboose is adorable, clean and had everything we needed. The property is beautiful!
We highly recommend and we plan on returning.
Rated 10/10 stars.
The history of the Caboose and family made the stay a10! Jennifer and Phil go all out to make it a very quiet relaxing adventure! They provide a very healthy filling breakfast to start your day off. The Caboose is decorated to really make it an adventure. You must take time to check out all the details of the decor.
We had the best time here. It’s gorgeous and just outside of Portland. Easy to get to from the airport. Beautiful view with excellent host. The host makes you feel welcome and leaves special treats and makes sure you have everything you need for the morning. Thanks to the hosts!
What an amazing place to stay. Oregon farmland, horses, dogs, and the owners provide such amazing gifts including their own blueberries! And there is such a beautiful surrounding area. Highly recommended.
What a cute, cute place to stay! The lodging was clean and comfortable and very cozy! Due to my partners snoring, I got to sleep upstairs in the cupola! Listening to the rain was quite peaceful. Jennifer, the host was friendly and very accommodating to our late arrival. Would definitely love to stay here again! Thank you!!
What a beautiful little place! It is charming with so much personality and sweetness. Jennifer’s little touches of kindness and love were left everywhere and my husband and I felt so dearly welcomed. The caboose was clean and very ready for guests. The surroundings are stunning and it is all so quiet and peaceful. It was a pleasure to stay there, and we look forward to returning.
This was the cutest little slice of heaven ever. My boyfriend suprised me w/a getaway &, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The caboose is so stinking cute not to mention, clean and stocked with breakfast, carrots for the horses, coffee, towels and everything else needed. The owners are the kindest couple. They also, have an outdoor fire a/wood provided & cornhole. If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful, clean and unique experience this is the best!
Small, so be prepared. But we just needed a base camp to sleep while we were out and about and this worked perfect and was cute. My 12 year old loved the loft and my teen had room on the pad on the floor in front of the bed. Enjoyed the cornhole outside and the horses as well. Nice and quiet area but close to freeway and Troutdale as well. Thanks for everything!
What a magical place! Our stay here was amazing. This was our first ever experience using VRBO and we could not be happier.
The interior of the caboose is cozy and welcoming with a well-outfitted kitchen, bathroom, main bedroom, and sleeping loft. The train decor added a charming touch and the caboose is full of lots of extra special touches like that, such as a record player with a fun record collection and train-themed movies with a DVD player. The back deck and fire pit area both offer terrific places to eat, relax, and hangout. The property is absolutely beautiful with gorgeous views in an idyllic and peaceful country setting complete with farm fields, sunflowers, and grazing horses.
Conveniently located just minutes away from the Sandy river, parks, and Troutdale, it was the perfect “home base” for us during our vacation.
We would absolutely stay here again and plan on returning here in the future. Highly recommend!
The little red caboose was an amazing place to stay with relaxing atmosphere. It had all the amenities and more. The freshly made chocolate chip cookies were a great touch. We were extremely happy with our stay here and will be back next time we visit Oregon.
Jennifer and Phil are very gracious hosts. The caboose met our needs and wants perfectly. Check-in was easy and the place is clean and very quaint. We had no issues. We will stay here again.
We loved our stay in the Red Caboose! It is the perfect size for two of us and everything is very clean and nicely maintained. The property absolutely could not be more beautiful and we enjoyed sitting on the nice covered deck every day and looking over the hills. They have the cutest little farmstand with delicious organic pears and grapes and more from their orchard, too! We will definitely be back again to stay!
We loved our stay in the red caboose! It was the perfect amount of space for the 2 of us, especially with the lovely attached deck and outside space. Everything was well thought out with lots of cleverly designed touches to make the space very functional and comfortable. The property and surrounding area are so absolutely stunning! We hope to be back to stay again!
It was a wonderful weekend escape so great for solo or couples. Jennifer provides the small touches that sets the caboose apart from other blaze short term rentals. Wonderful place would stay and recommend again especially for solace seekers
