"Great variety of hot, cooked-to-order breakfasts as well as wide range of continental items, all of which were great quality. We were also offered tea or fresh coffee and fresh juice that was brought to the table, along with toast. Room was comfortable and cosy. We had a balcony room overlooking Ambleside high street. Room was generally clean, just a few attention to details missing such as on the towel radiator. We ate in the restaurant ain’t the evening, enjoyed the food we ordered (main and dessert). We had an Irish coffee in the bar afterwards. Would be nice to have a drinks menu in the bar offering a wider selection/few cocktails as there was only a wine menu. Service was great throughout our stay. We used the pool which was nice, really liked the outdoor spa pool. The steam and sauna were ok but didn’t have very good seals around the door so the didn’t reach the high temperature I’m used to. "
"Everything was lovely but it states there is a jacuzzi and swimming pool which you have to pre book and the sauna etc..is over the other park so be warned you need to book ahead and take a towel ."
"Great experience here. Facilities are great, spa fantastic, views even better, breakfast and other food options are just right. Rooms were and other interiors are clean and very well presented. Parking is by the door and easy accessed.
If I’m being really picky (didn’t impact stay) - clearly making improvements so the outside had a lot of building equipment around made outside look a little scruffy and the spa area needed a bit of a tidy during the day as a bit of glassware left lying around.
Overall, a great hotel and brilliant to stay.

"The staff were lovely
The public toilets were very smelly.
The rooms needed tlc especially bathrooms
Horrendously uncomfortable bed and pillows. Strong smell of cleaning fluid"
