"Booked an executive room. On first impressions it looked good but then you notice where it hasn’t been well maintained or cared for. The most worrying thing was the brown slightly orange stains on the bed cover in two places. I can only hope they were scorch marks from ironing. Bath had marks and chips, no power points near the bed for phone etc. Staff were all helpful and pleasant but despite that I wouldn’t stay again unless rooms have had a facelift. "

"Room was satisfactory. The hotel is located in a motorway services area. On arrival was charged extra to park in the services car park as the hotel does not have a private car park. Purchased breakfast for two adults however this is a voucher that has to be redeemed in the services building next door to the hotel and at a particular concession. Breakfast options were limited at the vendor, so beware! Extra parking charge and poor breakfast would put me off booking here again."

"Lovely comfortable room, wry helpful staff, great food and a great selection of beers. couple of minor irritations, to barely works, forever pixelating and fan in bathroom didn’t work, resulting in a very steamed up bathroom. Despite these issues we will definitely stay again."

"Went to this lodge for my birthday and a few days after and it was everything and more. Definitely a luxury experience and would recommend. It’s like being abroad but stilll being in the UK. The owner is so lovely too."

"Rooms are so ridiculously outdated. Broken furniture and marks everywhere. Staff not interested and barely acknowledged us it was almost like we were not good enough to stay there. Didn't ask if we wanted dinner or breakfast or even if our stay was ok on checkout. Unfriendly staff at the bar. Main areas seemed fine did not use any facilities decided against giving them any further money after the way we were treated. Beautiful from the exterior but that's about it!"

"I stayed in apartment 5 for a week, and everything from the communication with the host was great. The building is recently adapted, so everything is almost brand new in the room and the common areas. The parking was secure, the apartment was clean and had most everything to make it an easy stay. The kitchenette is sufficiently equipped to allow for cooking simple meals, and the washing&drying facilities on site are perfect. Overall, all great! "
