10/10 Excellent

The Duo-Loft at Mt. Pleasant 2BR, Laundry, Parking
6/10 Okay
"The property was ok. You are on the 3rd floor and there are only stairs. We didn’t mind, but renters should know. The apartment only had 2 towels. No wash cloths, no hand towel, and no kitchen towel. I asked for more towels and only got 2 more bath towels which we made work.
The coffee maker was duct taped. It is very simple and met our needs. "
"This seemed like a new property that was little used and was poorly serviced. The unit is on the fourth floor with no elevator. It did not have a coffee machine nor toaster. Plates and bowls were missing; blanket and fitted sheet were smelly. Also, they did not provide soap/shampoon, so bring your own. There were new washing machines/dryers in the basement, so that's very nice (but remember no elevator). They charge $6/h and the power was cutoff exactly at an hour even if in the middle of the cycle.
The ad did not convey that the attic space was height-limited. It was okay for me (5'5") but my husband (6') was feeling space-constrained, especially in the shower/bathroom area. There were a lot of flies in the room even though all the doors and windows were closed. After they treated it, we'd still see more dead flies by the window every morning; so there was some opening to the attic that nobody knew about except the flies.
Despite all the problems, Joe (the owner) was extremely helpful and responded as the problems were reported (e.g., bringing plates to the property at night). And we did get a new-property discount and stayed there for the full duration (and even added 2 days), after the initial problems were solved and we got used to the attic. Hopefully, Joe would have solved most of the above problems to make the property more user-friendly. But people should be aware of the structural problems (attic with low ceiling and no elevator)."
