About this property

Forest Gazebo in Hastings, Ontario

  • This luxurious gazebo is located in our cedar and pine forest, between beautiful woodlands, meadows, and a pristine private lake. It sits next to a small stream with a river to the south. Breathe in the fresh air, reconnect with nature and give your body and soul a well-deserved break. Let the peeper frogs lull you to sleep and the distant call of the loons be your wake-up call. The unit is off the grid, but we offer a propane BBQ, as well as a full set of utensils, cutlery and crockery.

There is an outhouse with a toilet and shower.

The gazebo does not have electricity which allows guests to experience glamping the eco-friendly way and switch off from modern distractions. However, there is a small, quiet power station for recharging phones, laptops, and small electrical devices in the room. The tranquil location of the gazebo is guaranteed to help guests relax and feel closer to nature. Guests can explore the 100 acres of woodland and see the local wildlife, or take the canoes down to the lake and cast off for a fun day on the water.

Each of the 3 gazebos are about a 5 to 10 minute walk from one another, so privacy is definitely not an issue here! You will be immersed in nature and beauty. Perfect for couples seeking quiet and solitude time. Great for groups wanting to rent all three for gatherings, and still have the option to retreat back into their nook in the woods for some down time. Even when all 3 units are booked, you are unlikely to see or bump into another guest.

    PLEASE NOTE:

This property is an animal-free zone due to SEVERE allergies. Please don't ask if you can bring your dog, cat etc or try to sneak them in. This also applies to service animals, unfortunately. Even though different terms are used, a dog is a dog whether it is your pet or service animal. Although we do sympathize with people who require service animals, my severe allergies do not know the difference and I do not want to die. Our property is exempt from domestic animals entering the grounds and we ask that you kindly respect this.

We also have deer and other creatures that live around the gazebos. The scent of a dog would scare them off, fundamentally changing the nature of the experience or impacting it for other guests.
