"Staying at The Mermaid, located over the Old Inlet Bookshop, was dream come true! As an avid reader and lover of all bookstores, discovering comfortable, clean accommodations with a view of Kachemak Bay located over a bookstore was better than I ever hoped for! Hosts Andy and Sally went out of their way to make sure we felt welcomed. In addition to fresh flowers on the table, Sally also left a nice welcome note, a basket of fruit, and blueberry scones. I enjoyed the convenient location to "Old Town" area where we were only about a 5-10 minute walk from Wild Honey Bistro (coffee shop) and a few other restaurants. Also, Bishop's Beach is just a couple of minutes past the coffee shop. Great for a morning walk -- and tide pools! Thanks to Andy for recommending The Broken Oar for dinner, we had one of the best meals of our entire Alaska vacation!"

"We had a great time at the Moosetide! The staff were fantastic, friendly, welcoming and helpful. They gave us great advice for things to do and places to eat around town. They even told us about the low tides and places to see moose (unfortunately we didn’t see any on that part of our trip). The Moosetide is delightful! It’s very well done, cute and cozy. The decor is top notch. We will definitely be recommending the Moosetide to our friends and family! Thanks so much!"

"We had room 21 which had a living room, kitchen and bedroom. The bed was very comfortable. There is a large shared porch with a water view. The only issue was men sitting on the porch having very loud phone conversations (their rudeness was not the hotels fault), It’s an older property but very nice. My husband did the fishing charter organized by the lady at the front desk and really enjoyed it."

"It was right on the water enjoyed watching the otters playing right next to the shore and you could walk very close to them loved the room and the stay really feels like being home definitely recommend"
