"My wife and I stayed here for a few days before heading out into the backcountry for bear viewing and camping. Our only regret is that we didn’t book here again for after, or stay longer. This inn was one of the most relaxing and peaceful places that we’ve ever been. Whether it was the staff, the personal hot tub, the spa amenities or the amazing view, this inn had us covered. I will 1000% stay here any time that I am in Alaska."
"Checkin was very pleasant and staff were very helpful. The view of the bay was nearly perfect. I say "nearly" because there are two one-story buildings, one higher up the hill. I was on the higher one so you look down on the lower one but they've put a wood fence so you don't really see the building itself. The lower building had a full view of the bay and my view was the "upper half" of the window. That's the only thing that would have made my stay "perfect". The balcony on the back had solid walls between the room which acted as a windbreak and it was nice to sit out on the bench in the sun when the temperature was in the 60s. There were about 4 steps up to the rooms which is always fun when you've got a suitcase, but it was doable. It's a typical older motel, but clean and nice. I would stay there again."
"Beautiful location and very convenient for exploring the Spit and accessing activities and tours launching from the Spit. Comfortable bed and good sized room."
"We love it so much we’ve stayed here twice. The cabin has so much character, the views are amazing, and we had many wild life sightings!! The hot-tub is cozy and romantic, also with incredible views. Evelyn is a wonderful host, friendly and communicative"
"This is a good "brand" type hotel, new and well-appointed and reasonable. With eagles nesting in the parking lot trees. A decent location, close to a supermarket and restaurants, very helpful staff. It also works as a corporate events place but the rates were normal."
"The room was exceptionally clean, perfect size, staff was phenomenal, quiet quaint, absolutely amazing and beautiful!! Plus the price was unbelievable for a stay on the beach ,the view was absolutely gorgeous!!!"
"We had an awesome stay in Homer at the Pioneer Inn. The room perfectly suited our needs and Lila & Paula were amazing. Very responsive to questions and checking in to assure our stay was satisfactory. Also, I tweeked my knee, because you know, walking is hard :). They drove me to the medical center to get it checked out, and came back to pick me up afterward. They also helped me to find a knee brace in town. I would definitely stay at the Pioneer Inn when in Homer again."
