"If you’re into being treated like you’ve done something wrong for existing by crunchy oldsters just for fun then stay here. But if you’re road weary and just want to have a nice day, try somewhere else.
Night staff seemed fine BUT the morning staff was a bit emotionally unstable and sent us off in a taxi reeking of weed.
At about 7:45 the morning of checkout, I went down to the front desk to confirm if the shuttle bus would be on time at 8am for a flight. Unfortunately the older lady with light colored hair at the desk acted aggressive and very brusque and unwelcoming with furtive mannerisms and terse tone.
If you’re not familiar with Homer there are more head shops than grocery stores.
Weed psychosis is a thing here and the police let the town run amok with the kind of people that are everywhere: front desk staff included; And DUIs operating taxi services."

"Canyon Creek Cabin exceeded every expectation. From the moment I arrived, it was clear this place is something special. The setting is peaceful and scenic and the kind of Alaska backdrop that makes you slow down and appreciate where you are.The cabin itself was spotless, well-maintained, and incredibly comfortable. You can tell real thought and care went into every detail. It had everything I needed for a relaxing stay, and then some. The bed was comfortable, the space was warm and inviting, and it truly felt like a home away from home.And the hot tub area, Absolutely awesome. It really elevates the whole experience and makes the stay feel like a true getaway.What really sets Canyon Creek Cabin apart is the hospitality. Communication was smooth, welcoming, and thoughtful from start to finish. It’s rare to find a place that combines comfort, cleanliness, privacy, and genuine care this well.If you’re looking for a quiet retreat, a comfortable stay, and a place that reflects true Alaskan charm this is it. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area."
