Enjoyed our stay for our wedding night. The bed was made up with a golden heart & towel swans. A lovely touch. The staff were friendly & the breakfast was delicious. Would definately stay there again in future.

Upon arrival the check-in was quick and easy. The room was simple but clean with all things you could want. My room was situated at the front of the building and due to the clock tower and it being a bank holiday it was relatively noisy so ear plugs could be a welcome addition. The breakfast was wonderful and all options looking around looked great!

Prefect stay before BPW ride

The hospitality from the lady was brilliant, dinner in evening was delicious and enjoyed the morning breakfast. I slept well, my 14 yr old son struggled a little due to music, it was 10pm though. Maybe hotel could provide ear plugs? Love the room and bed. Shower was great, drinks were cheapest I’ve had in long time. 😁

Excellent Hotel

This hotel is a hidden gem. The bar had very modern and good in layout. The rooms were immaculate! Large bed and a wonderful bath! The food was excellent. Overall the stay surpassed my expectations and the friendly staff made us welcome!

Very nice apart from clock tower

Great place very clean with friendly attentive staff. My only complaint is the clock tower next door chiming all night! Nothing to do with the hotel and nothing that can be done about this but did keep us awake at night

What a Great Hotel and Staff

Unfortunately for us we only had a one night stay here. The whole experience was a pleasure and happy. The day we stayed we had Michelle and Abby, plus a gentleman chef on duty. The room was top draw. The checking in was a blur. The evening meal was excellent, Breakfast was fit for a king. The cleanliness of the whole building was 11 out of 10. It was very busy the night we stayed as locals were having birthday dinners and little parties all over the ground floor. Michelle and Abby not only ran the reception desk without any issues they ran the bar, served the meals. When I asked Michelle when did you start your day she replied approx 10.00am it was 21.30pm and it was still busy, we went to bed approx 22.15 pm, she was still getting the meal payments sorted out. The place would stop without these two hard working friendly staff members they have to look after the guests.

Family visit.

We had a lovely stay for 3 nights, room was a nice size and hotel was really nice. Friendly helpful staff. We had no internet in our room, but we spent most of the day out and had mobile data so that wasn’t an issue. We was offered an alternative room due to a heating fault, but declined as it was only the bathroom. Although we did notice the room thermostat didn’t control the bedroom radiator and had to adjust the heat with the main radiator control. But again this didn’t effect out stay and if we are to return to Wales again we would pick this hotel again. Thank you everyone for making our stay a pleasant one.

Business Trip

Great hotel for the short time we were there. Breakfast fabulous. Great value for money and rooms very spacious Only down side was the parking was across the road on the street as opposed to a designated Hotel carpark.

Fabulous gem in the heart of South Wales

Awesome stay at this fabulous hotel. Exceptionally friendly staff, especially Michelle when we arrived later than planned. Breakfast was delicious. Our room was beautifully decorated and the bed was so comfy! A superb stay. Fully recommended for a lovely weekend break in Wales.

Staff great and friendly, the lady who checked me in and served me was one of the most friendly ive ever encountered in a hotel and sorry i dont remember her name but thanks, the food is great and the room awsome. Parking is ok, on an evening you can park outside for free. Thar area is ok and if you want to eat out there is a restaurant opposite, although the food in the hotel is great.

Lovely hotel

We stayed in the superior double room and it was so lovely and spacious. We reserved a table in the restaurant downstairs and the food was delicious and well priced. I would definitely recommend staying.

The most comfortable bed ever

Warm welcome from a very busy manageress working under the new normal covid conditions. Nice bar, excellent steak dinner but most of all a very comfortable room! Kicking myself that I didn’t check the make of the mattress in room 5 as it was the most comfortable I’d ever slept on!! Only down point was that the chef’s bus was late the next morning so had to skip the cooked breakfast but full marks again to the same manageress who did her upmost with the continental buffet and a happy smile! Thoroughly recommend to stay here anytime as long as they slip the chef a fiver for an early morning taxi!!

Superb hotel

We loved this hotel and the hotel and staffs attention to detail. Lovely friendly and helpful staff made our stay more enjoyable. Lovely modern industrial versus glamour decor throughout. Room 6 is huge with a great comfy sofa bed. Fantastic full Welsh breakfast that set us all up for the day. Nothing was too much trouble for the wonderful staff. Would most definitely stay again and recommend to others,
