Excellent place to stay. Rooms are large and comfortable. Love having the pools downstairs. 24/7 downstairs bar is wonderful and the bartenders are friendly and helpful. Rooftop bar is a real treat. A total panoramic view of the city and a nice vibe.

As a solo traveller the Editory Boulevard Aliados Hotel was perfectly situated in the heart of Porto. I took the metro from the airport to Trindade Station which took 32 minutes then I walked downhill for about 5 minutes and I reached the hotel which is next door to Burberry and Todd’s. I didn’t have to taxi anywhere as I was able to see everything “on foot”. Porto’s main train station, São Bento is less than 5 minutes walk away which is very useful if you wish to take a day trip to Aveira “the Venice of Portugal”. The main shopping street is about 5 minutes walk away, the river is about 10 minutes walk away (downhill ) and there are an abundance of lovely cafes and restaurants nearby. The hotel itself is lovely. The foyer smells divine. My room was beautifully appointed and looked just like the photographs shown on Expedia. A large bottle of water is provided as a courtesy every day. The staff are very friendly and when I reported that my coffee machine was leaking, it was fixed / replaced immediately. I highly recommend this lovely hotel in the centre of Porto. Thank you to the staff for making me feel so welcome.

"Breakfast was good. My only complaint is not with the hotel but with Expedia. I booked a room with breakfast but did not check the receipt, only to arrive and be told that breakfast was not included. A google check exposed that this is due to a glitch that expedia is aware of."
