"We had a 3 night stay in June. Overall, it’s a very good hotel, in a great location, an easy walk to the beach and the town centre, with good car access to other WW2 beaches and monuments along the coast. Friendly helpful staff and lovely grounds and large outdoor seating area for bar drinks. Easy parking on site. We were disappointed with our room, which was poorly designed, and a quite dark because we did not have a window in the main room, but a glazed door to a small shady patio. The en-suite was very spacious, well equipped and had a big window. Patio overlooked an overgrown area of orchard behind the hotel (Room 16)."

The check-in process was a bit challenging as we had some communication issues about us having two separate units reserved. (They only provided one initially.) This appears to be largely used as a time-share facility for senior citizens, but it worked very well for our large, young family."

A slight musty smell in the air and no A/c but there are great fans which made it very comfortable. It’s Bateaux, it’s an extremely old town so you should know and understand this when visiting. The staff were very nice! The beds were very comfortable."
